Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

So I got both of these games for Christmas and I must say Pokemon White 2 is great, absolutely fantastic. Dishonored on the other hand is so disappointing. I was so looking forward to this game to. It just leaves so much to be desired by me. Maybe I'm playing it wrong, but it just doesn't connect with me at all.

So flood, if you have these games, what do you think of them

I think he's saying that he just can't get into the game like he can with Pokemon. Might be nearly anything asthetic about the game.

it just feels really slow and boring. The game is supposed to give you freedom on how to kill or not kill your target, but it seems like very limited freedom. I like the art style and the atmosphere of the game. The plot seems rushed however. Rats....rats? that is what is carrying the disease? I know they were responsible for the bubonic plague, but this is the future...or is it? That is the other thing, I can't tell if this is supposed to be set in the future or the past, maybe both?

I prefer my pokemon and skyrim. that is just me though

Well if you can't appreciate its brilliant pacing then the game might not be for you. It takes time setting up the world and story. It doesn't throw you right into the middle of everything. I don't mean this offensively, but I'd wager you're on the younger side and more used to modern games that are, and not to sterotype, but somewhat like Halo or COD that throw you right into the action. That isn't Dishonored. But the very thing you're complaining about here isn't a flaw, but a reason to love the game I'm afraid.

The game is supposed to give you freedom on how to kill or not kill your target, but it seems like very limited freedom.Howso? There's always one way to 'not kill' the target. But there are always a dozen ways you can.

Rats....rats? that is what is carrying the disease?Rats brought it. You find out more details if you read books and notes and the likes. For instance, I know where the plague came from.
I know they were responsible for the bubonic plague, but this is the future...or is it? That is the other thing, I can't tell if this is supposed to be set in the future or the past, maybe both?... This isn't Earth buddy. Can't you tell by the name 'Dunwall,' the presence of a cult of magic users, the use of whale oil, or crazy technology?

Remember those times when we all had something better to be doing, but didn't do it? Those were good times. Gooood times

It is not based on the future... There is no time period as its not based on earth, rather a fantasy world. The theme is 'steampunk', thus if you were to align it with our worlds time it would be based some time between 1880 and 1905(the Victorian Era).
