I just bought the entire walking dead for 10 bucks. I finished the first two episodes, I like it. However, the 2nd episode was really creepy and gross.

Have you played the walking dead? what do you think of it? Do you think it should have gotten GOTY?

Scariest and grossest of them all in my opinion.

The story was good but it did NOT deserve game of the year.

What's your personal game of the year then?

It is fantastic, and while I am unsure if it deserves GOTY, it is definitely a worthy contender

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Yes. I think QTEs and baby puzzles ruined it. No it should have not gotten GOTY.

I'm playing Episode 1 and it's pretty decent. But considering all the outstanding games that came out this year, definitely not GOTY

Exactly why it shouldn't have won Game of the Year

From the ashes

Yes, it's a great game? GoTY though? Oh, I certainly think it deserves honest consideration with the rest of the good games. I know it's gotten a bunch of awards already, but if it gets more; it's basically praising TTG's growing ability to weave a fine tale.

If I wanted to play for a story experience I would read a book. There is a reason why I play a game and a reason I would rather pick a different game for GAME of the year. You can also have a good story and good gameplay mechanics. Sounds like you are trying to give them an excuse.

haha, yur funneh

There's no other way for creators to make an experience where the player/audience chooses the actions of the main character(s). So it had to be a game.

I be trippin'.

I beat it earlier today and I absolutely loved it. Whether or not it should've been game of the year is an opinion based thing.

I think Skyrim won at last year's VGAs, and comparing the Walking Dead and Skyrim isn't even like comparing different genres of games. It's like comparing different experiences, a whole different genre of media.

I'm biased because I've watched the show since Day 1 and read 1-14 of the graphic novels.

Ending felt rushed/lazy. I don't care what people say there's always a darker way to end it. You don't need to half ass it/ predictable.

Yeah I know such a great mechanic too bad in the end the things you did, didn't matter at all.

It was an RPG. Role Playing GAME. The RPG was based on the story instead of explosions and guns. That makes it a story based RPG. Claiming it isn't something that it clearly is is asinine at best.

I don't feel it was rushed at all. In fact, the ending almost felt drawn out to me. It had a great, emotional resolution even if it was a tad cliche.

My ONLY gripe with the game is that almost every situation was loosely based off a similar one in the comics and it feels like the writers were too careful to not destroy the comic book universe's lore with something different.

So it is a bad mechanic. Glad you agree.

Welcome to the town of "Diligence." I'm Mayor Due.

Bought them all as well. Only made it through the first so far. Point and click is taking some getting used to....

Good deal though, and looking forward to the rest.
