Because the style is always the same disgusting, wide-eyed, unrealistically-over "developed"-children made specifically for sad grown men to grind their cranks to.

1. It's Gaara.
2. I would rather you call me Ian, it's easier for everyone.
3. I'm afraid I don't understand the question.

So much generalization! It's burning my brain! He must have seen every anime that every existed to know that!

Admit to me every real anime fan is a closet child molester. I stay away from that slop.

Oh my! Please tell me more about how you came to the conclusion that every fan of a certain style of animation is a child molester. I want to understand your deductive skills.

Too easy.

Neither strike my fancy. I prefer the song that starts Fourth Impact. It's a classic.

Anime is for children.

Explains why most anime includes profanity, nudity, excessive violence, and other themes netting them a PG+ rating, amirite?

Try again.

There are several off of the top of my head that include all of the above in some capacity or another but that's beside the point. Anime as a genre is marketed towards a more mature audience unless it specifically is not, e.g. shows rated Y7 (pokemon). A lot of anime shown on TV premiers on Adult Swim for this very reason. I've yet to see a serious anime show that is not TV14-PG.

In other words, just as there are children and adult cartoons, there are children and adult anime. The main difference is there's more for the former and vice versa.

Please don't dodge the questions and answer them

Also, let me just say that if you haven't seen a serious anime show that is not TV14-PG and higher, you haven't seen many shows

This happens to be a seinen
What does that mean?
That means it's targeted towards adult males
Coincidentally, it can also be watched by kids

Just more proof that Japan is filled with manchildren

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

You have no business watching anime if you're not asian.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Eh, some of it is pretty cool.

I liked the first season of Sword Art Online, for example, because of it's psychological thrills revolving around being trapped in a virtual reality MMO that actually kills you in the real world when you die. Seeing how traditional gamer behavior play out in this world was intense.

Cyborg 009 aged fairly well since the time I watched it as a kid. Frankly, I just enjoy the plot and the characters. They are all well rounded and have interesting back stories.

I even liked High School of the Dead to an extent. Yes the amount of fanservice was -blam!- shameful, but it had really gripping moments that revolved around the collapse of society.

So...I disagree with the OP.

More irrelevancy. The point was that the member originally quoted was incorrect as per definition of the genre:

Case 1 | Case 2 | Case 3 | Case 4 | Case 5

All decent sources from first page results providing enough substantial contrary evidence to the "Anime is for children" notion. Some are, some aren't; however it is generally marketed for older audiences.

And I guarantee I've seen more than you have but we can continue that tangent in PMs if you desire.

Regardless of whether it's irrelevant or not, try answering them
If you can't, I'll just assume you have no idea what the hell you're talking about
I can guarantee you they aren't that hard

sigh you're still on about this?

You're wasting both of our time since you appear to be [somewhat] supporting my thesis. You wanting me to name ten-odd anime with an older target audience doesn't support the discussion in either way.

If my initial hyperbole threw you on this tangent then that was my error, but what you're asking is still irrelevant. I name 10 shows and then what - you go off-topic further debunking the validity of the shows I listed? For my sanity, I will oblige:

List 1 | List 2 | List 3
Again, laundry lists full of shows - including well know ones (and many that I personally own) found from a search engine. You know - the place where select posters could have gone to educate themselves prior to making incorrect posts.

I set out to correct an inaccurate observation/generalization and I have done so with supporting evidence. That's the end - this has gone off topic long enough.
