Subject: Casting for Star Wars: Episode VII

Pass the controller bro

I think Daniel Day-Lewis as Han Solo and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Leia would be spot on.

I'm not sure about Luke yet, but if Boba Fett returns he might as well be played by Temuera Morrison and have Jeremy Bulloch give him advice on Boba's body language outside of action scenes.

Even though I'm not a fan of Tim Burton, he probably could work on costume designs. Dark, weird etc. Of course the previous crew is free to return as well.

I think David Fincher would be a good director. He worked at ILM, as a cameraman on Episode VI as his first job I think.
I read somewhere that he also would have liked to direct Revenge of the Sith.

As for the soundtrack, Brian Tyler might be able to pull of something worthy.

What are your suggestions?

lolno

I hope they cast the original actors in their roles and set the films 20+ years after ROTJ.

We should have new protagonists. Maybe Han and Leia's kids? Luke's kids? Since they're apparantly disregarding the EU, anything is possible.

That's right. My plumage is brighter than yours.

Dude, I remember reading the book that comes after that -blam!- back in middle school. There was some guy named "Thrawn" in it. I think.

I think Danny DeVito should play the role of Thrawn.

I would rather he stay as far away from it as possible.

Weird how I can trust Disney more with Star Wars than George Lucas himself now...

This. I have somewhat high hopes for the sequels, actually.

I'm sure he meant the Sarlacc pit. Either way, Lucas has confirmed in one of his latest interviews that Boba Fett did not die.

IThis is not here.

I think the main protagonists should be new and relatively unknown.

I wouldn't mind some cameos from the original gangsters though.

Because it's not just a matter of finding someone who looks like Carrie Fisher. They need to fit the role.

I don't even see much of a resemblance in any case.

Actually I believe he mentioned that he's interested. Fincher is one of the names being thrown around right now.
