Which game is better?

I think both are good but Crysis 2 is better. It has a darker and more serious tone, more realistic and immersive, Alcatraz wasn't a cocky smartass like Nomad, and there's no bull-blam!-, like certain enemies getting a ridiculous damage boost to cover up for their stupid AI, and an unnessacary boss battle that was so ridiculous and unrealistic it was excruciating. Also in Crysis 2 you dont walk ludicrously slow, and the weapon sandbox is bigger. Plus I like Crysis 2's story better.

But Crysis had some things over Crysis 2, like carrying 3 weapons, dual wielding and able to carry more heavy weapons and grenades. And there was an alien weapon. There was also an animation for picking up weapons and ammo. Plus the whole game was more open and at some parts you have to be mor tactical than you ever did in Crysis 2.

decla1mer104 - Origin (BF3)
Steam

Cryis is more open.

Crysis 2 is more linear.

I honestly prefer the first one but Crysis 2 has some improvements.

I've only played Crysis 2 on Xbawx and I have to say it was great, but I found myself just zerg rushing every enemy to finish the story.

Is that we're you activate armour mode and beat everything down?

In terms of running on PC, hands down Crysis 2.

In terms of gameplay, Crysis.

Crysis is still a tough game to run at this point! Even with my new Quad Core I'm only getting High settings. At this point with technology I was hoping for Very High.

Crysis 2 does run on Ultra for me no problem though, but I do think that it was a little downgraded in terms of textures, even with the high texture pack, it still seems like it could have looked better. All those shaders sure make it seem better, but the textures really aren't.

I run both games on everything max and I can tell you that Crysis 2 looks better than Crysis, fact, no arguments.

Crysis 2's campaign had a weak ending and was padded with unnecessary missions. I can't help thinking it could've been a thousand times better, there were so many possibilities that went unexplored or underdeveloped, while several missions were often used on a plot point that started to drag after ten minutes (running round New York after Gould, defending the civilian evac from the Ceph, et cetera). Regardless, it's still one of the best games I've ever played, and a clear notch above the Halo/CoD tier in terms of campaign quality. Multiplayer needs less following the norm and more experimenting, but again, it's still one of the best MP's I've experienced.

Oh, and I suppose Crysis 3 deserves a mention, given that it looks set to blow both games out the water.
