Taking a low dose of aspirin every day can prevent and possibly even treat cancer, fresh evidence suggests.

The three new studies published by The Lancet add to mounting evidence of the drug's anti-cancer effects.

Many people already take daily aspirin as a heart drug.

But experts warn that there is still not enough proof to recommend it to prevent cancer cases and deaths and warn that the drug can cause dangerous side effects like stomach bleeds.

Yes its old but I just found it reading this, some scientists say it could cause the brain to bleed as well as the gut but its amazing to think something we take for granted could save millions of lives.

So is our fight with cancer really coming to an end in the next decade or so? I have already lost 4 family members to cancer so it would be nice.

Once we cure cancer our world population is going to explode.

Not really.

The only things causing the population to rise is Africans having 10 kids because they seem to think a bigger family = successful life.

Teach the continent to keep it wrapped we should see a decline, also with our populations getting older large numbers should die off over the next few years.

No it isn't. They do it because it is more likely that at least one of their children will survive. They do it for the same reason you dorky Brits did it centuries ago, because child morality rate is high.
