I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

You could argue trying to set up a government in Iraq is a form of imperialism, but you seem generally correct.
Who said anything about trying? Pretty sure mission was accomplished.

No. It's too unstable to be anything ideal. And the mission wasn't to make an unstable government.
The mission was to set up a democratic government. Mission accomplished.

no you cant have my gamertag

Native Americans disagree

also -

An imperial political structure is established and maintained in two ways: (i) as a territorial empire of direct conquest and control with force (direct, physical action to compel the emperor's goals), and (ii) as a coercive, hegemonic empire of indirect conquest and control with power (the perception that the emperor can physically enforce his desired goals).

As I said in the other thread, they're not mutually exclusive.

They are actually doing surprisingly well for themselves right now. I am sure that is subject to change, but as of now they are doing relatively well.

But I wouldn't expect the Flood to know much outside of CNN, occasionally Fox, and the popular opinion.

lolno.

The United States pretty much seizes peaceful countries. That's Imperialist behavior.

And sectarian violence is way the hell down compared to the 2006-08 timeframe.

Nice attempt at making an insult at the end, but no, they're not doing "fine". There's been numerous politically motivated killings and still lingering presence of the Taliban. Should probably brush up on your knowledge.

Thank you.

Yes there is violence in their country but the numbers from previous years are down. Upon the US exit, there were a few months where there were zero casualties suffered.

If your definition of a stable government are zero politically-related deaths then, well, you consider most of the world unstable. There will likely always be violence in the region.

Because the Taliban didn't flood into Iraq right and wasn't a huge factor in the invasion right?
Should have known you were a troll. Goddamn it.

The Mexican-American War? The Texas Revolution? I'm assuming this is how you are relating Mexico to this? If so, I will have to laugh if you find the alteration of borders to be a strictly American ordeal.

Countries used to fight for land. This should not be news.
