So, you want to buy a game, and stomp the single player because you are already the highest level with the best weapons and armor? No thanks.

Oh, and have fun with bugged/non-textured items.

Incorrect. When you buy a product, you pay for the product as is, including the hidden nature of any extras.

I think I see what the OP is doing here.

Nice job OP.

It depends what you are talking about, if you mean weapon skins etc. then I agree with you. Online passes are a different matter; I can understand companies wanting to charge for second hand access to their multiplayer servers as the developer does not see anything of the second hand sale.

There is a certain point of tolerance that should never be reached.

A prime example of the "entitlement" generation.

Turns out, you're not entitled to anything, and you buy the disk "as is".

I am the Thorian, known as Species 37 to you people. I am an ancient sentient plant that is fifty thousand years old. My ability to hibernate for thousands of years makes my real age impossible to guess though you are welcome to try.

By OP's logic I should have all of the achievements unlocked as soon as I put an Xbox 360 game disc in.

Just call me Whitcher

Onion Invasion was on the spot randomness that I entered when I first got xbox live. I have changed my GT once.

If I go of topic, It's known as Whitchering

If I buy all the ingredients for a cake, am I immediately entitled to a completely finished cake?

I thought this was going to be about the legal bindings involved with the purchase.

OP: They just do that to make it interesting and to create more playing time. That way, you get more enjoyment for your "hard earned" money.

I don't have this problem on Steam...

I pay for the game. I pay for DLC. I pay for whatever else.

No silly disc involved.
Have fun not actually owning anything.

No, buying a game just let's you play whatever the developers decide to let you. It's like a license for them to give you what they want to give you, whether it is everything on the disc or not.

Yeah, which would be completely understandable as the disk locked DLC and DLC withheld until a week the game releases is very unethical, but what the OP is talking about is just silly.
What's the difference between storing DLC on a disc and storing DLC on an online server?

The three minutes it takes to download the DLC and the memory it takes up as it sits on your hard drive. On Disc DLC is a matter of Optimization, not Ethics.

Like the title says.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that developers force people to play through their game whether it's single player or multiplayer in order to unlock things that should be already unlocked in the first place.

Why do I have to play for a certain time period in order to unlock a stupid attachments to a weapon? When I bought the game I am entitled to have everything unlocked already. I mean, purchased it with my hard earned money.

Agree?
And when I play Super Mario, I am entitled to find Princess Peach inside the first castle.

Nah I highly disagree. Progression is part of what makes games great. Look at Darksiders is a perfect game with that.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Someone needs to play Dark Souls. You are entitled to everything on the disc because everything is unlocked for you in the beginning. Now getting from point A to point B. You'll probably wish everything was locked and there was a progression system in that game.

Mario is also entitled to get some of that mushroom booty, but the closest he gets is a kiss from Toad, not from Peach.

Still better than you.

.....most of you, at least.

I thought OP was going to say disc locked content. Which is dumb. The rest of the stuff you can have, if you mod.
