Talk smack, fight back

So I'm looking into getting into hunting and target shooting hobbies, so im in the market for a compound bow. Problem is, I don't really know where to start. Ive done some research and concluded that Browning, and Mathews are some of the best bows on the market.
If anyone is already into this hobby or know anything much about archery, it would be greatly appreciated if you could give me some guidance on the topic.

Mathews is top tier, but not everyone can afford one. If you need something more wallet friendly, I'd suggest Bear. They're decent for the price you pay.

Make sure you know your drawlength because using a bow with the wrong drawlength is a pain in the ass. Also, outfit your bow with a nice Whisker Biscuit.

I said it before, and i'll say it again, make sure you wear bracers, and good thick ones at that, because the bow string hitting your arm, hurts like -blam!-.
