I live in San Diego, where it hasn't snowed for 40 years.

There's a word for what I am, but I can't pronounce it.

BFA, CCS - olde and bony & one minute musings.

Enough to drive me insane by mid January. Day one snowfall in MI (last week) was a great sight.
I guess depending on what you're used to / what you prefer, that's enough for a while.

Haha, love/hate relationship when the driveway needs clearing. I'd say south eastern Michigan gets hit with a good winter every now and again. Child's play stacked up to the northern areas.

That's pretty good for your first day, most people take about three days to really get the hang of it and to be able to start linking heel side toe side consistently.

It is way harder to learn how to snowboard than ski, but easier to keep learning once you have a grip on it, whereas skiers will plateau and end up getting frustrated with their progress.

Learning on a mountain is definitely better than a local hill, at least for me. When I started I learned on a small local hill that was just ice, way harder trying to learn carving, and every crash was like landing on pavement, did get it eventually though, poor tailbone though ...

Sure do. Even got me a gas powered snowblower.

Mine broke. I had to get a tractor to plow my driveway, as it is around 300-400 feet long.
My dad lives in the country and uses a tractor to plow his driveway. That wouold be so much fun!

Sometimes I do it for him when I'm home for the holidays.

Alabama.
Zero snow.

It snowed here once when I was 2 and another time when I was 12.
It's hilarious when school is cancelled for half an inch!

Your 'beliefs' mean less than dick to me.

Lived with snow my entire life. Big reason why I'm moving down south in a week. Snow is miserable.

Side note, I find that people who enjoy snow are almost never the ones who have to shovel it or pay for a plow guy to get rid of it.

My dad uses his ATV, which is better than the tractor he used to use, but he always complains about how much of a pain it is.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Yes. We always get snow in NY. I'm in Toronto currently and it snowed a few times already.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

It has been snowing all day and still is here. I am not looking forward to shoveling my car out tomorrow.

Pic related, it's my backyard as of 5 minutes ago. Southern Ontario ftw.
I feel sorry for those who have never experienced snow.

You suck. I recently moved to AZ so... no. My winter wheels are just sitting there not being used... very sad. I need to go up north to get into some snow soon.

Nope. LA ftw.

In the capital, so hell yes. Looking at my neighbors roof, I'd say a little over 2 feet of snow has accumulated so far.

I believe that the last time it truly snowed in Florida was in the 1970's.

  • 12.29.2012 5:23 PM PDT

Yes, and there is supposed to be another three inches by tomorrow.

All it does is make driving a burden and make everything muddy when it melts.

Maybe for you... I love driving in the snow. One of my favorite times to drive. Not even slightly a burden, fun as hell.

I'm about six hours north-west of you. It's been cold [for a Floridian like me] but hasn't snowed.

Boltshot = mini shotgun

In NJ, we normally get at least one snowfall a year, but snow hasn't fallen here in two years.
