Also if American controlled Islands make the US an Empire then the British Empire has not fallen and still exists.I've already said the UK is a still-existent, yet feeble empire. And Germany has no extensive series of territories outside of the landmass called Germany. If you go to Puerto Rico, you call it Puerto Rico, even though it's under the control of the US. If you go to different parts of Germany, you still call it Germany.

British oversea's territories directly contribute to the UK and still bow to the Queen. I don't see any random Islands under American Control doing anything for the USA except being launch platforms for its military.
Canada is apart of the british empire but has its own goverment.No its not. Its an independent sovereign state that just happens to have The Queen as its head of state
