Subject: Betrayal Booting in H4 and other Halo Games?

Is it me or is the booting system flawed? I'm getting annoyed that immature and childish teammates betray me regularly for petty little things like picking up the Sniper Rifle or a power weapon or getting blown up cause I beat them to a power vehicle. And then I don't get the option to boot; yet every time when it's a legitimate accident I get the option to boot someone.. But when some noob deliberately kills me for a Gun or a Vehicle I NEVER have the option to boot!

I write this mainly because half an hour ago I was playing flood on complex right.. I placed myself on that little high tower that gives you a broad view of the whole map, well when I turned on Promethean vision it painted my target and when I put my Reticule over the person it turned red and I fired away. After I killed him it said "Betrayal!" so I turned off Promethean vision and it was a friendly and I was like crap that was weird and brushed it off cause it was an accident. Then like a minute later every person still alive decided to cram up where I was at . A short while after some flood guy came over and I tried to shoot him but some guy got in front of me and I accidentally popped him in the chest, 2 seconds later I'm taken to the War Games Lobby with a Message saying I was booted.

this is literally the only time I've ever been booted from a video game. I regularly get gunned down by asshats simply because they want my weapon and I've never gotten the option to boot. But me, 2 legitimate accidental kills and that warrants my expulsion from a match. It's stupid...
has anyone else had similar experiences? Oh, and like I said it's my first time getting booted from a match, do you get a warning from the developers or something of that sort for being booted?

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I've been saying it should be one betrayal/boot since Halo 3. But you do what you can with what you've got I suppose. What you need to do is once you've gotten then boot option, just wait until there's only two seconds/kills/captures/etc left in the game and then use your boot. It's very rewarding.

Lol what?

Well to him it look like you intentionally killed him especially the first time. So it doesn't really help your point.

Goat was famous. Irie was infamous. Gh0st was FaMaS.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

I got betrayed by a teammate with a boltshot 9 times in an Adrift CTF game.

The reason? I made a sarcastic comment about his aim the first time he betrayed me.

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Halo 4 isn't exactly competitive, I don't see the harm in taking out friendly fire, especially in something like Flood. Oh, and the fact that you can damage allied vehicles when friendly fire is off is annoying too.
