You can't go into Multiplayer and do fun stupid crap without your KD going down, sometimes.

I think i'm about stop caring about my KD for the better, so I can have fun...

Put it this way: are you playing the game for fun or trying to show you have something to prove?

If the former, it speaks for itself. If the latter, then why are you playing games in the first place?

Es ist Zeit für einige Gefahr-pay

I don't pay attention to it at all.

I like sitting at 2:1. But now that I'm going for the splatter visor in H4, it's dropping fast.

But I'm having a lot more fun.

k/d only matters if you are bragging. Nobody I know brings up k/d or any other stats until someone starts talking -blam!- about how good they are or how much they could -blam!- you 1v1. A good w/l is infinitely better than k/d

it's just me against the world

It's somewhere in the back of my mind, but it is never my first priority.

Some people, like myself, do take pleasure in playing to the best of their ability with the hope of achieving victory. To put it simply, you are establishing a false dichotomy of what is fun.

To some it is, to others it isn't. To me, I prefer to have fun and not worry about my KD.

Think of it like this.. People check other people's K/D's so often that I don't even think you can check it from in the game.

I usually don't care too much about my kill per death ratio; I just care about having fun. However, at the same time I do like to keep my kills a little above my death ratio.

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

I don't care about K/D, but I'll be the first to admit that I take great joy in holding objectives or other things people would call me a "tryhard" or "no life" over. I just think it's fun seeing how many kills I can get within a 15 minute window and having fun is all that matters, right?

I can't really have fun with shooters any other way now that I think about it.

Is it worth it? No.

Do I still find a need to have a decent one? Yes.

There are points in times where I go multiple ffa games just running around the map to see how many laps I can do before I die.

Doing this on chivalry is a lot of fun. I even had people rooting for me. They were all like, 'Go Doc Go!'. Twas a fun few games.

  • 12.29.2012 8:35 PM PDT

Well having "fun" to me is playing to win. So yes.

  • 12.29.2012 8:39 PM PDT

Boltshot = mini shotgun

I think keeping a K/D of (just over 2) gives me some motivation to play the game more.
I guess it's worth it.

If I'm not having fun in a video game because of it, it's not worth it.

I'm just saying, people can take winning or performing well as fun, but if that's all you're doing it for, it can become more of a chore than a pastime.

Nope, in the end it's just a video game.

Meh, I try to keep it above a one in most games. Most recently I quit bothering in Black Ops 2, though. I just run around with only a knife and try to stab people.

People who play to get their k/d up, don't have any fun in the game. Yes they might be good, but you can't have any fun while worrying about kd.
