If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

It didn't really start to get a plot until the last two opening cinematic. Then 343 decided it was a good idea to make people wait 2 months for the rest of a story that they will undoubtedly charge people to see what happening after the inevitable cliffhanger at the end of season 1. Gameplay is just there to give people something to shoot and get the most out of their double XP codes.

Something something eggheads... Something something crimson... Something something button pressing.

The UNSC is attempting to drive the Storm Covenant off of Requiem. Crimson team was sent down to push buttons and save eggheads and eventually they found the Didact's Gift, which teleported Glassman to the Covenant place. Jul 'Mdama was there, and he commands Glassman to help them revive the Librarian AI, or Gek will blow the scientist up.
Unsure on what to do, Lasky brings Catherine Halsey aboard, who discovers that the Didact's Gift is scanning them, and begins receiving text messages from an unknown entity, who is revealed to be Jul 'Mdama. Thorne offers to babysit Halsey and learn about the Spartan-IIs. Meanwhile, Castle Team is killed by 'Mdama's forces. Crimson rescue more eggheads and at Galileo Base they find a Promethean Soul. Majestic Team is sent to defend it, but when the Covenant attack they are forced to leave.
Back at the Infinity, the Promethean Soul is revealed to have the memories of a human who was Composed at New Phoenix. Halsey receives a message asking her about the Librarian, which surprises her, prompting Lasky and Palmer to lock her away again. 'Mdama is angered by this, but turns to find Glassman finally activating the device. All the Elites bow down, and 'Mdama is happy.
On the Infinity, Thorne touches the Gift, and is teleported to the Cauldron, where he is surrounded by Elites.

I may have missed stuff out, but that's what I remember.

The UNSC is trying to kick the remaining Covenant off of Requiem and set up research facilities and such. The Covenant are trying to revive the Librarian. Also eggheads.

You are Crimson team. Wile most of the time, you are just doing various Spartan Missions, usually one or two chapter per episode really goes into the story. Anyway, Crimson encountered and found the "Didacts Gift". The gift captured one of the scientist to the an Elite Terrorist group, who is now being forced to teleport the covenant to im not sure.

Then another Spartan, named Thorne touched the gift, and he was teleported to Requiem, and is currently MIA. We are trying to find this lost Spartan, and the scientist, and stop the leader of a Elite terrorist group, called "Jul Mdama", and he has been using the forerunner teleporters to evade the UNSC.

Im actually pretty proud of myself for knowing that.

Now you know Halo 4 took a page out of CoDs book when the aliens have been labeled "Terrorists."

Right and four is fail, just like Halo 4.

I thought 4 was supposed to be a perfect number. :'(

None? Failed writers and boring, repetitive missions. At least FF was fun with friends for some shenanigans.

  • 12.30.2012 6:55 AM PDT

Play. Forge. Film.

Does it matter anymore? The game is terrible and rank means nothing in the game so I still don't understand waste all of their time grinding away for XP in an FPS for Pete's sake. Seriously not even CoD has sunken that low.

This is the image I'm getting from that description.

Substitute those doors with portals and it is spot on isn't it?
Yeah, that chase has such similarities to other chases! Such as the whole running and being pursued thing.

I hope you're joking.

They tried to tell some kind of story for finding the Librarian AI but it's just so miserably told. Every episode I am thinking "Oh, now it gets interesting"... then it cuts off to a teaser and the circle starts again.

Honestly, why do the missions don't even have anything to do with what is happening there? The story of one episode is that this one scientist was taken as a hostage to find the Librarian AI... and what's the next mission? "Kill random enemies at campaign map #23".
Why not make Crimson part of the actual story? Tell it like Reach?

I don't understand how 343 could possibly waste such an easy opportunity to impress.

It's about the compelling ethical struggle of crimson pushing buttons for eggheads.
