Only subs, or are there dubs? If there are dubs, are there any good ones?

Fan dub....

Actual voice actors/actresses

I know they don't have an official dub, but why do people enjoy dubs more, they almost all sound terrible.

There are some shows that are better with dubs, and there are some that are better with subs. You also have shows that just seem equal in terms of quality with both subs and dubs.

Teh puma doesn't have any real preference, he just wants to be aware of whether or not there are other ways to watch these shows, and after he has watched a few episodes of each he then decides what he prefers usually.

There are hardly any dubs out there that are better. The only one that even comes close would be Spice and Wolf and even then most of the emotion is lost when they get into longer conversations about trading.

'Tis your opinion, colby. ^_^

Teh puma usually either bases it off of annoyance, or emotion. He did prefer the dubbed version of bleach simply because some characters (Orange haired mcbusty bust,) just sounded too annoying to him in their subbed version.

However his opinions on annoyance take over whether or not he finds emotion in it. If he cannot stand a specific voice, he typically will not get used to it. So regardless if there is emotion, he will change it to dubs instead of subs or the other way around if someone is annoying enough.

Some dubs and subs just seem equal to him. When transitioning from dubs to subs in One Piece he really didn't feel much of a change. Everything felt just the same to him.

Though again, this is all typically based on opinion.

1) Anime is a distinct art form.
2) Because it is an art form, any alteration to the original anime is an unacceptable compromise of artistic integrity.
3) Because dubbing into a different language compromises the artistic integrity of the anime, the only proper way to view anime is in the original unedited Japanese version with subtitles based on a literal English translation.

It's made for teenagers.

Also, if you know anything about game developement, then the quality of the series will drop.

Teh puma doesn't mind watching an alteration of such art forms.

In what way, will the quality drop? Are there just comments/statements that are cringe worthy, or what?

Things that just doesn't make sense.

A guy created a Virtual Reality machine and a game with it, from what I got from the series, he did this pretty much all by himself. And somehow got to publish a game that is going to kill thousands of japanese people. Oh, and it's the first VR machine and game, only for japanese people. And then comes the second half, not going to spoil it, but it feels like the second half is just there to... Be there.

FMA and FLCL aren't better dubbed. You don't get it, I'm not only referring to the sound coming out of their mouths, I'm also referring to the literal translations. They get changed up and watered down. Most of the time the actual words are more complex and more grammatically fitting than what they change it to.

Well said. In the end, for me, I prefer dubs. When I watch something, I want to be immersed, visually and audibly. Watching and reading at the same time isn't as immersive. If I want to read and be immersed, I'd pick up a book. For me, the two types of immersion don't mix.

I'd appreciate if you guys would help me out. I'm looking for a series that aired in around mid-2000 in the US Cartoon Network channel. It revolved around some grand pix and teams would drive these mechs, that could also transform to fight on the track, or something along those lines. I think it was about 12 episodes.

Er, Nevermind, Found it
Anyone watched it?

Nevermind

I added the recommendations to the OP.
