Subject: New Year's Resolutions

Do any of you have one?

I think we can all agree that New Year's resolutions usually fail. Especially ones about losing weight and going to the gym. Most people set themselves up for failure with these.

Now, this was not originally my idea, but starting January 1st I am going to keep a jar in which I keep track of every good thing that happens to me this year. I'm going to write it down on a piece of paper with the date, put it in the jar, and at the end of the year reread all of them. It's so easy to forget the good things and just remember the bad.

So, Flood, do any of you have any ideas like this that you're gonna try? I would love to hear any "resolutions" that you guys have that can easily be accomplished with no risk of failure. I'll post any good ones I see!

Get meh scientific diving certification and a diving internship at an aquarium!

Not really a resolution...more of a goal for this year...

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

I stopped a few years ago because I usually give up 3 months in.

I'll bring the tritium laser cutters if you bring the beer!

Funny story.

"Study more" it's one you have to do regardless of whether you intend to keep it.

Hey this can't fail though. Sure you might forget but it's not like you failed just because you forgot to write one thing down.

Exercise a lot.

I've been waiting for when the rain and 30-40F weather goes away.

Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

Mine's actually pretty simple. I have a saxophone that I haven't played [seriously] in a couple of years, mostly because it's broken and I've been too much of a cheapass to get it repaired. I can still play on it but it's honestly in bad shape.

So my NYResolution is to get it repaired, buy a new jazz mouthpiece, and try to get at least as good as I used to be a few years ago.

e: This is something I was already planning to do; making it a resolution just makes it more convenient.

Lol I remember when I used to be musically talented. Longgg time ago. It's good to have a resolution that you were already planning on doing though. I'm really not a fan of these resolutions haha.

But I have the same mentality. I've been meaning to pick up the guitar more. Lately it's been collecting dust. I think it's time I got new strings and started playing again.
