Actually, I may try yours OP.

You should! Then next year I can make another thread about your best memories of 2013 and you'll have them all written out already.

Mine's actually pretty simple. I have a saxophone that I haven't played [seriously] in a couple of years, mostly because it's broken and I've been too much of a cheapass to get it repaired. I can still play on it but it's honestly in bad shape.

So my NYResolution is to get it repaired, buy a new jazz mouthpiece, and try to get at least as good as I used to be a few years ago.

e: This is something I was already planning to do; making it a resolution just makes it more convenient.

Do any of you have one?

I think we can all agree that New Year's resolutions usually fail. Especially ones about losing weight and going to the gym. Most people set themselves up for failure with these.

Now, this was not originally my idea, but starting January 1st I am going to keep a jar in which I keep track of every good thing that happens to me this year. I'm going to write it down on a piece of paper with the date, put it in the jar, and at the end of the year reread all of them. It's so easy to forget the good things and just remember the bad.

So, Flood, do any of you have any ideas like this that you're gonna try? I would love to hear any "resolutions" that you guys have that can easily be accomplished with no risk of failure. I'll post any good ones I see!

Did you get your idea from Tumblr?

No someone on Facebook posted it. I have no idea who originally thought of it. I'm sure people have been doing this for a good number of years now though.

You left for what 3 years I think you told me. So you can leave but you'll be back. They always come back.

I guess nobody ever does leave the flood, even after being banned 50 times. Besides, where else would I find True Underdog and Recon?

Yup! Good memory. I logged in a couple times and creeped around but left no evidence of my presence. They ALWAYS come back.
