Subject: My problems with newer PC Gaming

Aside from the obvious DRM issues that has been plaguing pc gaming, i feel its really gone downhill. I just bought Battlefield 3 and it is the epitome of what is wrong with new PC gaming. It's just annoying when you have to download 3 different programs, make three different accounts, pay to win. But the worst part of battlefield 3 that i really hope never is implemented in any other games is the browser based game menu. I dont want to have to re launch my game to back out or deal with browser compatibility issues to even think about playing this shiny new game i bought.

Another bad trend is the whole having to be online to play single player campaign, like why does that even make sense?

''I want people to be sincere; a man of honor shouldn't speak a single word that doesn't come straight from his heart. ''

Yeah the Browser thingy is one of the worst ideas in gaming EVER.

Why multiple accounts? The only account you need is an EA/Origin account.

Plus, I do agree that launching games on Battlelog is absolute -blam!-.

That's the problem you made. Origin is awful.

Yeah the Browser thingy is one of the worst ideas in gaming EVER.

All i know is that im never buying any origin game/EA game again on PC for fear of having to use my browser as a menu. I mean if they got it working half the time i'd consider it, but yeah.

Not Battlefield 3 but the very premise that it forces Origin down your throat.

My old EA origin account was too old and they deleted it/deactivated it so i had to make another.

Origin is practically spyware..

It scans your PC to see if you have any other EA games on it.

This all the way. Although I am very new to PC gaming (started in July 2011 w/only a 5570 gpu; just recently to a 7850), BF3 was the only game that gave me SOOO MUCH trouble to download and play. Everything else I get from steam is simple and easy.

It's such a glitchy game itself aside from the whole battlelog issue that i would be happy if they gave me half my money back and i'd never touch it again.

And the fact that EA made their PC releases Origin-exclusive.

Does that mean Sim City 5 and Crysis 3 will be Origin-exclusive?
