Ignore my gamertag. It's actually Dragonzzilla.

If you were the director? I'd like to see what you guys wanted... if you got anything.

Forerunner dragons.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Master chief finds Didact.
Shoots.
Didact dies.
Ending credits where 343i & MS thank you for your purchase.

Because it doesn't make sense? Stuff has to have a sort of believably to it.

I wouldn't have made the campaign at all. Halo 4 would be multiplayer only.

I'd ensure more enemy variety than just differences in appearance, armor strength, and weapons. I think (and know from modding) that this has plagued Halo since Halo 2.

Would you like me to go in-depth?

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I wouldn't make slippery rocks so people can get outside my maps I made and I wouldn't make 10 seconds to get back to the battlefield. I would also put in campaign scoring and finding skulls a achievement but still let people use them at the start. Also, less buttons. Too many buttons in Halo 4. Kind of weird since Halo Reach, people complained about too many buttons but for some reason, in Halo 4 they decided to make you press a lot more buttons than in Halo Reach?

No stupid QTE. I would make it a cutscene or a gameplay mechanic. Restricting a players freedom to fight something is worse than giving them freedom to fight something. Giving them a cutscene and then making them press buttons is stupid, too since some of us put down our controllers to watch them.

My Brahman is ready.

Nothing, except more screen time for the Didact. That's pretty much it.

  • 12.30.2012 11:56 AM PDT

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I find that Teh-Ziod is NOT attractive for the reasons
she/he does not correct format sentences, therefore for intelligent matured members of society that may interact with her/him, may find her/him UNattractive for the reason that she/he does not comprehend with their level to successfully have a conversation therefore it will be socially an awkward interaction which may be wanted to be avoided

second i do not find it physically possible for a PERSON to be a ice cream truck.

OH MY GOD HOW DARE THEY MAKE YOU PRESS MORE BUTTON. THE INHUMANE FORCED LABOR. YOU MUST BE SO TIRED.

Less button pressing and inserting Cortana into terminals. More enemy variety. Add content that wouldn't be completely useless and gimmicky, I'm looking at you Mammoth. Don't turn Chief into some teenage schoolgirl. Less Space magic explanations. Flesh out Didact so he isn't just some wannabe Darth Vader force choking dude. Brief explanations for those that never read the books. Campaign scoring and theater.

Oh yeah and not make a corny cutscene with the forerunner lady. "Master CHEIF YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!! TRY AND FIND IT DEEP INSIDE!"

  • 12.30.2012 12:01 PM PDT

Well, for one, Del Rio wouldn't be such a disgustingly shallow cliche. That was easily the worst part of the entire Campaign. Making him a commander that doesn't reek of incompetence and authority problems would have been just fine, because the dude has a point, why should he risk the lives of all of his crew members when he could go back to get reinforcements?

Second, the entire "Chief, you're the singular byproduct of thousands of years of planning!" thing was stretching things and was bullcrap. They could have just as easily said "We hid seeds in the genetic code of the Human race, allow me to unlock your potential" without turning the game into yet another "YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!" cliche that seems to plague games these days.

Levels that flat out weren't fun like the 5th and 6th missions wouldn't have made it into the game as they were. I don't know what I would have replaced it with, but being forced to protect a giant unkillable vehicle was boring, and so was shooting five or six dropships out of the air with your incredibly overpowered pelican.

The Prometheans didn't have enough variety and individually did way too many things. Watchers could throw back grenades, shield knights, ressurect dead knights, summoned crawlers to defend them... it seems like they easily could have split those powers across several radically different Promethean types. The Promethean Knights in general were frustrating to fight because they felt more like Bullet Sponges. Whereas you can at least tell that you are damaging an Elite and that his shields are near breaking, it's more difficult to tell when a Promethean is about to die.

The quick time event at the end of the game was haphazardly done, specifically the transition between the cutscene and the quick time event was far too abrupt, if they had smoothed that out a ton, it wouldn't nearly have been as bad. But I suffer from no illusions, Halo is quite simply not set up to accomidate epic boss battles. You don't have the mobillity to dodge interesting attacks, and the sandbox lacks depth in ways to interact with your opponent beyond "shoot him dead". If they have an idea of how to do a good boss fight with the Didact, it makes sense to save that for a future game where it is more thematically appropriate.

Also there probably would have been 10 times as much Thruster Pack, because that's the best Armor Abillity. Being able to dodge those Hunters with it on the final mission as you dashed from room to room... why can't we have that as the default instead of Sprint?

Those are just a few things, but there's plenty of other things that I would have changed.
