My signature is rather loopy and elegant... I don't see a way to replicate this in text form. Do italics work? Yes, they do

To be fair, the whole game just felt like a recycled version of the original trilogy as a massive, over-sized wink to the fans.

"Warthogs, still in one piece." When Cortana said that, I knew what 343 had done.

The Gondola bit pissed me off.
The super-mega pelican bit with all the floating spires shooting down phantoms just felt like a recycled version of the first mission in Halo 2 where you play as Arby.

And do not get my started on the -blam!- pelican assault course on the last mission. It's all very well flying around shooting turrets, but when they had the horizontal lasers moving up and down I nearly lost it.

I thought it was nice, paying tribute.

How could Dragons of the Forerunner kind not be awesome?
Because it doesn't make sense? Stuff has to have a sort of believably to it.
Let me zap you with my Beethoven-gun and digitalize you so you can fight a parasite that literally threatens the galaxy. But if that doesn't work, we can just use massive rings to kill -blam!- everything.

Believable.
It is believable. Unfortunately, you've given me no reason why there should be dragons. I love dragons but I don't think Halo should have dragons. It just doesn't fit.

Maybe that's where the ancient stories of dragons came from? A certain mutated varient of Promethean or Lifeworkers, and upon the use of the consumer these 'dragon' Forerunners were forever immortalised as software and placed in carapaces resembling their old form to fight alongside the regular Prometheans.

That's okay. Paying tribute is nice, to a degree. When it feels like the developers got lazy and just sat around a room and concluded: "Let's just recycle the old trilogy. It's not like this is a fresh start. The fans'll love all the winks and nudges and -blam!-."

What made it worse was the fact that they integrated unoriginal parts. Like the mammoth level; immediately reminded me of Gears of War.

A sentient lifeform wouldn't generally give up his humanoid appearance for that of a beast's. There could be misunderstandings and such a mutation would probably require a level of mutation that the Forerunners didn't have.

Two problems with what you just said.

I) I'm pretty sure if Prometheans are fully willing and ready to allow themselves to be digitalized to be loyal to the Didact, they would allow themselves to be mutated to such a form if the Didact deemed it necessary. Hell, their willingness doesn't matter, the Didact could easily force it on a contingent of Prometheans without their consent.

II) Think about how accomplished the Forerunners were. They built giant kill everything rings, suits that ensured they would never die of old age and a weapon that digitalized life and turns it into software. If they wanted to, they could make dragon mutation possible.

The misunderstandings were my interpretation of the forms being Pre-War Origins since you did suggest a Lifeworker Form. Although it would make sense with the way dragons are spread across the Earth and the Librarian did love our world, I thought the rest of Forerunner Society would look upon them oddly or even consider them different.

Maybe a Dragon Mutation could be within their grasp but why would there be a dragon mutation? What's the practicality of it? The Composer was meant to make Forerunners immortal, the Rings were to save the Galaxy, Forerunner Armor was (of course) designed to protect its user... the Didact's newer form was meant to immunize himself against the Flood but he did become immune to the Composer.

A form of oppression to devolved humans?

I'd like to point out that I don't support the idea of Dragons in a Halo game. I'm just saying it would've been better than the steaming sack of no character development and unoriginality that 343i gave us.

Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

Ask smart questions

I would have done something similar to the current Halo 4 in the end, seems the best solution since most of the ideas would be scrapped due to some engine limitations and hardware ones.

I think the Halo 4 Campaign had potential. That's why I like the ideas that try to stick to the original idea as much as possible but still work out the inevitable kinks that there always will be in a game.

No idea at all...

Turkey

I would've shifted more focus on the campaign than the multiplayer and made it a bit longer; probably give the Didact a few more physical appearances before the end of the game.

Despite its length, Halo 4's campaign was still my favorite in the series. Can't wait for Halo 5. I only hope that my wish comes true and 343 start paying more attention to the campaign, story, and universe rather than the multiplayer (like Bungie did for CE). Halo will always be a single-player shooter in my eyes, and its main appeal has been and ALWAYS will be its story. If I want multiplayer, I'll go play Hawken.

How the hell is it your favourite campaign?

How can it compare to the first two Halos?

Halo 4's campaign is much better than Halo CE's. It was good for it's time but to think it's still amazing and that it will always stay supreme is laughable.

If 343i doesn't improve the quality of the games they make then I think Halo 2 will always be my favourite Halo campaign.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Not a damn thing. People need to quit their -blam!-in over a video game. They did just fine for their first installment.
