Why is it Flood?

Is it because we are naive?

Is it because we are stupid?

I want to know.

I am not purposely "antagonizing other users". I am just curious to know. Personally I don't care about any of these issues. No offense to anyone.

Never say you're bored. Never say you're satisfied with the world. Never stop doubting or questioning things. Always wonder. Always think. But always take time to drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all the time.

Because an actually event gets people's attention more than just a concept.

Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

Tragedies make things more visible. They force people to confront issues that usually go ignored.

Two makes there more than speakers.

Most people really don't care. Just when others make a big deal about something, then they feel the need to.

Because we're human, and the majority of us can't confine ourselves to rational thought, and the rest of us can only do it part of the time.

Ignorance is bliss. When people hear bad news, they try not to think about not, try not to think about what it means, and failing all other courses of action, they just try to pretend it isn't that big of a deal.

Which is why it takes a big -blam!- deal that can't be ignored before the bold among us will rise and call for an end to it. Which is why the public has to be stirred into a unanimous outcry before the political machinations we constructed to protect ourselves from the raw harshness of the world will come to bear on our problems.

It's because we're naive and stupid. It's also becuse we know too much, and we're too smart for our own good. It's because we're human.

Because when "tragedies" happen they get not stop coverage by the news. Beating it into peoples heads something needs to be done.
