Stop banning me please.

Don't play MTG. Too expensive. Your paying money for carboard with designs on it. Only play if you and ur friends are really into it.

There are ways to play online for free. Try Cockatrice.

The five elements of Magic have different mechanics, philosophies, it's actually pretty deep and interesting for a card game. You can read about it here or here.

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

In short

Green mana: Big creatures and mana acceleration, Typically slow to start off

Red mana: quick and direct damaging spells with creatures that can continue the onslaught, it has trouble in the late game once other decks have established their defenses

Blue mana: Control. Manipulate what your opponents are allowed to have in play and is also accompanied by many creatures with flying, it is slow as well and blue magic usually requires a lot of mana which blue by itself can't produce.

White mana: Protection. Usually has spells that negate your opponents attempts to attack you and it also has life gain magic, mana extensive and usually has weak creatures until the late game.

Black mana: Attrition. Just kill any creatures your opponents get into play and it also has discard spells and it also sometimes requires you to give up some of your own life for cards to be used to their fullest, it can be bad giving up your own life to use spells (of course)

Of course it's much more in depth than this, but I think this is an ok representation of what to expect from each color and may help you decide on what to use.

It depends largely on your strategy. I'm a fan of spells, so water and plains work well. Your enemy does something? Op it's countered. Hyle's post is good, do as the man says.

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

I used to play this game. Still have some friends that do.

The game is expensive and time consuming. Though, from a collector's standpoint it can be a worthwhile investment. I know a guy who makes his income solely on buying and reselling.
