"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

Maybe 'functionality' isn't the word I'm looking for . . .

But, as I had hoped/expected, Far Cry 3 went on sale on Steam, so I'm quite tempted to get it.
I know I can run the game to some degree (provided it doesn't instantly crash, mysteriously) -- I meet the recommended requirements -- but I know that doesn't always mean it will run smoothly.

I have an AMD Phenom II 965 (BE) quad-core CPU, running at 3.4GHz; 8GBs of 1600 DDR3 SDRAM; and an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card (1GB, 128-bit memory).
It's nearly a 3-year-old build.

Would I be looking at a decent (solid sixty or so) framerate at medium settings, or something at the lower-end?

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

You technically should be able to run it, but make sure to update your graphics drivers (something about beta drivers for AMD) else the game runs incredibly choppy.

I couldn't think of anything creative, so I just wrote this.

Yes. Have a similar rig and it runs fine for me.
