I just ignore them. It's not like they contribute anything.
If only more people would do this when they are annoyed/offended/enraged, (especially instead of replying with said rage) then these forums would be an even more enjoyable experience.
Of course, with the .next release.... who knows what's going to change? A lot, I imagine.
I think that would be a faulty strategy, as sometimes these "trolls" bring up key arguments, and it would be a shame if person A went through their life disregarding other peoples' arguments because they were "offensive", and thus were "only trolls".
The real problem lies in the person A's usual response, in which he gets mad and instead of trying to argue his point (which is probably wrong, which is why he is getting mad) he replies with insults/"rage" and thus does not understand the arguments given by the trolls.
Such an example is not a troll. A discussion is a discussion. Any attempt to outrage, enrage or otherwise disrupt is not the same thing.
I've seen decent "forum judo" where clear bait was laid in the OP, and the members simply ignored the inflammatory direction of the poster and had a real discussion despite their best attempts to cause mayhem.
