Subject: Unorthodox things you do in games you play?

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

In the standard military shooter I stick to melee weapons and the "worst" weapons, in PC shooters (military or not) if there is a console I adjust enemy weapon damage to do 100% to make for faster and more interesting gunplay.

Right now in Fallout 3 I'm maintaining my health at 20 or lower forcing me to think of interesting ways to get out of sticky situations.

What things do you do to make your play experience more interesting?

Per Audacia Ad Astra

I force myself into sticky situations.

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

If I see an enemy vehicle I will run at it and attempt to climb over it.

Try and use melee takedowns as much as possible

When possible, gain height, then take flight, Batman style.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

When I have a problem, I blow it up.

Play role playing games with two conflicting personalities that share the same goal

  • 12.30.2012 6:59 PM PDT

Fear my Pink Mist...

In games where you can melee, I usually do that pretty much to every object or wall I come across, to try melee the object out of place. This accounts for dead bodies also, and unused weapons. WTF is wrong with me.

Any playthrough in campaign after the initial one in any Halo game, every time I jump, I must spin 360. Doesn't add anything except a ton of spinning Spartan fun.

In Battlefield 1942 my friends and I were going melee only and one of my friends climbed onto a tank and killed the gunner with his katana. He was immediately killed by a guy with a tommy gun afterwards.

Your average nice guy on The Flood.... D: ..... WAIT A MINUTE....

On last resort, in Halo 3, I like to launch the mongoose across the map with a frag grenade plus fusion coils.

In online on games like Call of Duty I use the crappier weapons to prove that they can be good if you are a smart player.

On online I don't trash talk (crazy I know).

My signature is rather loopy and elegant... I don't see a way to replicate this in text form. Do italics work? Yes, they do

I will try and kill characters regardless of affiliation or importance to see what'll happen.

At least he got to achieve bloodshed of pure awesomeness before falling.

There's a “U” and “I” in union but just an “I” in my beliefs

Every game is connected in some way or another to me.

Events in GTA affect the events in Halo.

Most games that prefer the player to use stealth I say screw that and go in guns blazing. More times than not I make it work better than stealth would.

Good example is in games like Deus Ex Human Revolution where you can be stealthy I say no. To get through areas faster I destroy everything with brute force. Shoot first then ask question later.

I like using bad strategies for great effect. Using crappy weapons and bad tactics to stomp enemies regardless, like going into halo 4 with no perks or abilities and still wrecking, or using bad Team Fortress 2 weapons and destroying them, just to piss people off.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Normally after playing a story-mode level, I will go back and just explore or try to find the fastest/most fun route through the level.

Indeed.

Once on a game called Resistance and Liberation I cleared a pillbox of N@zis with a Thompson and while reloading a guy with a rifle poked his head around the corner and blasted me.

Sucked.

Once I got the most kills in Counter Strike Global Offensive only using my knife and smoke grenades.

You could have changed to your sidearm, it's saved me a ton of times in BF:BC2. Especially if the bad guy is also reloading his gun..

The amount of times I've done this on Splinter Cell.

In RnL you can't switch weapons during a reload animation, and he was a newly spawned player.

The Wonderful LeSieg!

I will do almost anything to avoid the deaths of other characters in any game. Unless the character is completely and unavoidably hostile through and through I will go out of my way to leave them alive.

In Fallout 3 and NV I make a point to kill as little wildlife as possible.

Right now in my Fallout 3 20-2 health play through it's pretty much imperative to your survival to avoid enemies or making things pissed off at you.

I do it anyway though, and have cleared out Raider bases, Mutant infested buildings and am currently killing a bunch of Overlords and Masters in Georgetown, thank Bethesda for exploding cars and frag mines.
