... go buy it. Now. I just finished the first one for the first time and damn, it's one of the best games I've played in a while. Granted, it has its issues, but nevertheless it is still a fantastic title. Can't wait to start the second one, gonna do a few more side-quests in the first beforehand though.

Wait till you finish the third.

Do yourself a favor and dont play the second two. The first one was almost perfect, IMO, but the second time around you quickly realize your choices mean absolutely nothing and you're just playing a slower version of GoW.

Just wait till you play the second. Theres a reason its considered by many including me to be the best in the trilogy.

Tell that to the guys who took out the twin towers.

Too soon?

Don't listen to anyone who tells you not to play any game in the trilogy. They're all worth the time, especially 1 & 2.

The original Mass Effect is excellent. The other two have their moments, especially with the cinematic scenery and stuff and some of the characters, but for the most part neither really holds a candle to the original.

Quick question: Is there a way I can continue after the ending to do the mentioned side-quests?

  • 12.30.2012 7:16 PM PDT

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

I'm not going to be that guy who tells you to enjoy it but don't expect too much from the ending.

No, there is no turning back once you start the final mission.

Thinking back, i dont think so. I think if you load it after beating it it will take you back to before the final mission.

Can't you redo the game with your character having the level and powers you finished with?

I respectfully disagree. I think Mass Effect 2 clobbers both other entries.

Will the reset of my auto-save affect the carry-over of my character to ME2? Or is it locked it and non-deletable unless I choose?

You cant do that in ME1.

You can choose to either import your character or start a new one

It's only a matter of my personal preference, but I think the emphasis on character development made it a much more invested experience, and the gameplay was a lot less clunky than the first game's.

The first game, IMO, had too many boring moments (planetary explanation got monotonous) along with clunky combat. Third game was too streamlined and had plenty of plot issues.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Second one. Get ready to be confused as the story has nothing to do with the reapers. Combat improved but less RPG elements. More weapons, better character development, a meh story, surprises from certain characters, the worlds aren't a empty mass of nothing, no mako, different sections in the ship, different alien species, less graphical errors(when everything has washed up textures in the first then become good), etc.

It is a good sequel. You won't be disappointed my friend.
