I plan on running the mile in track this year, but I need some advice. Usually I run a mile with my whole foot hitting the ground, and I get a pretty good time.

My coach told me that I'm doing it wrong, and that I should be landing on the balls of my feet. I tried that and it felt pretty weird, but at the same time I felt I was going faster. The only problem is, that it tires me out quicker. What are some good ways to get use to running on the balls of my feet?

Multi-trillionaire modern cowboy.

That's right.

Buy Ben Quadinaros' podracer and win that stuff.

It is very dark, and you are likely to be eaten by a Grue.

Got my hopes up for a racing thread...

Disappointed.

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

I ran track from 7th grade to 12th grade. I was in short distance running.
Your coach is right though. Heel-toe is the way to go. Keep you arms going pretty fast and lean forward.
