Not sure if this has been brought up yet or not, but for one thing, I wouldn't mind having a listing of the groups that exist through B.net. I know that there are around 18,600 groups so that would take quite a few pages, but the upkeep with this shouldn't be hard because they update the numbers of members and other stats automatically. Just like Google would list your hits, this is how the listing of groups would work. I know that there exists a group search, but that's for specific groups. What if I just want to browse around at the groups that are made but I haven't seen yet? I think that groups can be catagorized in many ways so that the number could be broken down into what you are browsing for, because sometimes I just want to know what the group is about, and not how many members, or what new gimmick they have, or the founders of the group. I believe that this feature would be accepted along side of the group search, and actually helping the viewer be aware of the groups that are just like the biggest ones of that genre that they don't know about because of it's size. All of this is just thought, so if anyone can run with this idea, that would be great, as I am not that fluent in this area of web-design.

You could do a group search by country/state and then filter by member count. That will give you a pretty large list of groups to explore...

But still, that's a LOT of states and groups to go through. Categorizing them would break it down even further, without having to "name that group".

Ohhhh a chapter directory. Yea, it would be nice if we could filter groups by their interests or by what they play.

Yup, a search engine of a directory would be sweet, and very useful. Categorizing them would be about the only actual topic that would require thinking, not too much thinking, but thinking none the less. So isn't something like that feesable? Is that too much to ask of B.net?

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

For some reason...everything seems to be too much to ask of B.net.

There have been many great idea that I think would actually be usefull..not even getting a response from Achronos. I wish he would just tell us how far they're coming along with the "updates". It would make half the people that I know on Bungie.net much more happy than hearing about a stupid Podcast.

Go there. Its got every group up to a certain period, not 100% updated, but its a damned lot.

As for searching... I doubt much more will be done on b.net with the group stuff...

Wow, nice work, but that's not even half of the groups that exist now. Still, very nice.
I would like to see categories of interest though, that one aspect is probably the only one I would even use...if it existed.

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

I would prefer a member count.

Here's a list of possible categories for the (hopeful)Chapter Directory:

Member count
Founders (name)
Subject Matter (group focus)
Foundation Date of Chapter
XBOX live Activity
Longest Thread within Chapter Forum
Member Activity [posting equivalency, ie-# of posts/time period(day, hour, week)]

All of these things could be listed together about each chapter, and depending on which category you choose to search by, that will determine the ascending order of the groups. Along with those stats about each chapter, the chapter's quote could be included. The Subject Matter could take some time to organize, but it shouldn't be that hard to accomplish.
