A space research program has developed a chip and have selected you for an operation they have put together. This chip will be inserted in place of a disk in your spine, and simultaneously connected to your nervous system. While meeting with the space research team, the operation managers are explaining your two options while you weigh them out.

Option A - Stay on Earth: by deciding to stay on earth, you forfeit the opportunity to use the chip at all. You can resume your normal life; meet a significant other, get married, have kids, or change the world, etc. Or all of those combined!

Option B - Leave Earth: by selecting this option, you are accepting the position of undertaking the space program's mission. The mission is simple, really. The chip, once inserted into your spine, will provide you with a near immortality. You'll be able to fly! You'll be able to breathe in space without any gear, you won't need to consume liquid or foods, and you'll be able to fly at a maximum speed of a million miles a second. You are also immune to all natural disease with this chip. However, you are subject to death by physical injury, like being caught in the way of an asteroid or flying into a comet! However, eventually, time will take you.

NOW, your mission is to explore space, while the command center on earth takes photos and asks you to interact with your surroundings at any given time, wherever you may be. By accepting this mission, you acknowledge you are leaving earth forever; you are never allowed to return home because of the chip. Removal of the chip will result in your death.

Ultimately, through selecting Option B, you will pass away somewhere in outer space.

-blam!- option B. Seriously why would you want that crap?

  • 12.31.2012 8:33 AM PDT

Moving at a million miles a second would mean that time would never take me

  • 12.31.2012 8:33 AM PDT

Have nice day.

Option B. But I would return to earth, go rogue, lots of crazy car chases and -blam!-. Then make a kick-ass movie about it.

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

So option B is basically being a living space probe? Considering how much empty space there is in the universe, going insane from isolation/boredem is a virtual certainty.

B, It's not like I'm going to accomplish anything with A anyway. Plus exploring the unexplored will be awesome!

Don't punch a British kid, the queen'll come after you.

I like it on earth, option A erryday.

With option B I won't be able to go to uni and learn stuff I want to, I'll just be looking at things while never fully understanding them.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Does menthol freeze in space?

Earth is good

Remember kids: when Uncle Delta tells you he has sweeties, he isn't lying.

Now get in the van.

The Black Chapter

At a million miles per second, odds are that I'll fly into something, even if its tiny - and dude, that would really hurt. I'd need a riot shield

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I pick A.

What's the use of having all of that stuff and the ability to travel super fast if you can get killed from an impact with an asteroid?

  • 12.31.2012 9:34 AM PDT

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Option A.

I aim to please.

You don't even have to be killed by an impact with a big asteroid. Anything from the size of a golf ball to a baseball and soccer ball will go right through you and kill you.

I'm going with option A.

Well seemingly how you can now move faster than light, the laws of physics wouldn't apply to you. If there were any physical laws that you were bound to, you would probably just phase through everything you otherwise would have made contact with.
