Games like Max Payne, Farcry, or Borderlands are far more widely accepted as a successful game than Halo 4

According to who?

Dihonored was better than Halo 4 in my opinion. Prototype 2, while being a bit of a disappointment, was better than that. Borderlands 2 was miles ahead of them.

But hey, opinions.

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

They picked Halo 4 because it was an exclusive xbox 360 game, not the best game of the year. Honestly there were no real good xbox exclusives this year, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, The Walking Dead, Dishonored and Max Payne 3 were multiplatform. Really Halo 4 is the only choice, even if it is mediocre (which the reviewer pretty much admits).

You thought IGN would give an unbiased, unbribed pick? What the -blam!- world do you live in, they're even paid for goddamn marketing. Anyone who relies on IGN, Gamespot, G4, or any other big reviewer for honest reviews is an idiot.

I expected this much.

All I see is a lot if varied opinions on a forum which is full of Bungie lovers and 343 haters. And even then many people agree Halo 4 should have won.

Your move.

What game would they have had to picked for you to not display this much negativity towards them?

It shouldn't win best XBOX 360 game because it's an average game that bores fast cause' custom games got killed, but wins by default because there really was nothing better than it on the 360. So it sadly wins by default. But IGN still gives -blam!- reviews and -blam!-, bought opinions. Why anyone cares what they say or do is beyond me. I only use the site occasionally to check any rumors or new info on upcoming games.

  • 12.31.2012 12:16 PM PDT

The way I see it, it was picked because it was an exclusive; and since the Xbox has few exclusives and even less that are worth anything, I can see why Halo 4 would win. Though even non-exclusives are better than it.

Well then you get into a jam. I guess I would have ended up with Halo 4 as well, simply because it wins by default. Exclusives are dying out, and they tend to now be -blam!- downloadable arcade games. I really wouldn't want to pick Halo 4 and I view it as undeserving, and would have stressed that in my statement. Seriously, -blam!- 343i for taking a dump on my precious custom zombie games.

Butt ugly ape” remarked Sergeant Johnson always making fun out of the situation even though he had been hit by a spiker round in the arm. He mustered up the strength to continue and the team moved on. The Arbiter informed him that the next room held The Prophet of Truth and this was the final room before extraction. Jun proposed that he takes a shot from a distance the prophet and they all head back to the ship bay for extraction. The team agreed on this and breached the last door…

Why did Halo 4 win? Before anyone says that I can't make a better game, well I can. I can make it so that you press a button in Javascript to win a game. There, better game.

Do you think your swagin' because you can make a win button in Javascript. Lolnerd.
