OP, simple doesn't mean bad. The simplest and shallowest things can be best. Even with no depth.
Shallow things are always bad. It's an entirely different thing from simple.

So Halo combat is bad? And people are bad for liking Skyrim's combat? Shallow may be bad for you. But people like it, so it can't be a fact it's bad.

  • 12.31.2012 10:52 PM PDT

You may think the shallow's bad. It's not a fact it's bad 'cause alot of people like it.

The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown

Thinking shallow and simple combat is bad or good, is opinion, NOT fact.

  • 12.31.2012 11:24 PM PDT

I don't like how the weapons swing like they aren't hitting anything even when they are.

  • 12.31.2012 11:25 PM PDT

You, I don't like you.

Indeed. Like Notepad has taught us, less is more in some cases.

  • 12.31.2012 11:29 PM PDT

Yeah that's the thing, Elder Scrolls combat is really good. But it doesn't look like you hit them, sometimes. Melee magnetism?

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Same with MSPaint.

Only in some cases, and not in the case of that flying bag of dog-blam!-.

On Waypoint I'm rocketFox;

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

On one hand yes its a hack and slash button bashing game..... on the other hand its massively complex with a huge amount of possibility.

Sure you could just smash the guy over the head with an axe. Or you could cast a spell that sends him crazy and starts fighting his own bandit buddies, then you resurrect his dead body to help fight for you and turn yourself invisible so they can't find you.

Know what I mean?

The early version (..., XP, Vista) was awesome.
The new one (7, 8) is not.

Skyrim even when ur just hacking 'n slashing, it's fun, and I hate games just about hacking 'n slashing. Same goes for Morrowind and Oblivion.

Oh a bit off topic but Halo 4 has 66k currently playing War Games: Matchmaking, and it's 12:59 A.M. PST, I think it's 'cause of "New Years".

I see no problem with Skyrim's combat system.

I enjoyed the combat system in Dragon Age: Origins though.

I wouldn't say there's nothing wrong with it, but TES combat is very enjoyable.

  • 01.01.2013 12:16 AM PDT

Oh and OP, what type of character are you?

Like I said, Shallow isn't nearly the same thing as Simple. I'd say that Halo isn't particularly shallow, and people aren't bad for liking Skyrim's combat, I'd just say they are very unambitious.

Muffins are just ugly cupcakes

Because it's nice to be able to just run up to enemies smacking them with swords every now and then.

  • 01.01.2013 1:07 AM PDT

Oh ok. OP, what's your favorite part of Skyrim's combat?

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

It isn't as simple as complex=fun.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

From the little I've played Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning I can say it's combat system is much more interesting than Skyrim's. But then it is an action RPG, unlike the latter.

I don't mind it. I think it's fine.

Agreed.

It really depends on your approach to the combat in general. Sneak attacks/ head "snipes" with bows are always refreshing. Not to mention I like the "slowed-down" feature for better focus when using the bows.
