Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

They listen, they fix. They can't be fixing things at everyone's beck and call. Just because a few people said something is broken doesn't make it so. There IS such a very bad thing as listening to your community too much. A good developer knows when to put their foot down.

Like the way they put their foot down with their retardedly pathetic Ordnance Drop system that promotes randomness and gives the upper hand to the lucky players?

343 is the fukcing cancer that is killing Halo.

Perhaps it's because they designed an entire game type around the ordinance system and would like the community to try it out? I mean damn, we're barely entering the second month of Halo 4's life cycle and already people can't stomach anything.

If anything, the halo community as a whole are just terrible. They can't express anything without throwing a fit, calling foul on everything, crying, or being dramatic by saying they're going to quit/put their copy up on eBay/sold their game already. Things take time. If everyone's beloved Halo 2 had the same jaded community as it is today (because even back then we had a good amount), it would have been dead out of the water. That first TU took 5 months!

Comparing Halo 4 to Halo 2 is like comparing a Mac with the ENIAC, one of the first computers. Back then, people were amazed it even worked.

"So what if the new Mac doesn't have a built-in calculater, the ENIAC didn't either!

Since its been 7 years worth of technological development, our expectations have changed. Shocker, I know. Now with all this new technology, we actually expect the product to be better than the last one, expanding on gametypes without getting rid of nearly all the old ones, and making the new game fun and innovative without completely smashing to pieces what it was before, and without it being a carbon copy of its prequel (and other games). I realize 343 can't satisfy everyone, but so far its looks like they don't care about anyone.

Lol.

Every community has a core full of honest, decent people who only want the best for the game. If you ignore that core simply because the shell surrounding it is disgusting, then you have no right to be making games.

It's a'me, Sesto

They aren't being, which is not surprising in the slightest. 343i is a -blam!- company.

Don't know what gave you that idea...
Is anyone listening to this guy?

The sad thing is, no. Not that I am aware of, at least.

Maybe they are listening, but they aren't responding to the thread?
Sickening, no?

343i said in a podcast they noticed the imbalance between the DMR and BR, and they said they might buff the Carbine, and nerf the Camo. And they are putting smaller maps made from forge into matchmaking. And they are putting in an MLG playlist. I think they are listening, they just don't like posting on the forums, for some reason.

That's fine. I wouldn't be very interactive with all those snotty kids either.

Well that cancer started with Reach soooooo ya.

Unfortunately, they decided to continue with it and make it worse. They had a chance to bring back the Arena Halo game, and they chose not to. BTW, Halo is already dead Charles. If you're playing Halo 4 you're playing the "modern shooter."

I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

The Flood is just this awesome :D

Because the Halo community -blam!- sucks. I'm not surprised at how Bungie never listens to the Reach board when Reach came out. Same goes for Halo 3.

The notion that some of you people have that an entire community shouldn't be listened to just because of a few bad apples is increasingly disturbing.

I don't see how complaining about bloom and AAs making their game "too random" is a valid complaint. That was pretty much all over the Reach board before Halo 4 came out.
