I know a lot of Flood don't like Halo 4 because they think it's too different from the Halo formula. I agree, and I think they tried to change too much in a single game. Let's see what changes were made in other Halo games:
Halo 2- Dual wielding, boarding vehicles
Halo 3- Equipment
Reach- Armour abilities, pre set loadouts
Halo 4- customizable loadouts, random/personal ordnance, everyone has sprint, loss of map control
As you can see, Halo 4 changed too much from the Halo formula; it almost rewrote it. The other games added small things that worked with coexisting features, like dual wielding. My question, to you, is what small feature could have been added to Halo 4 instead of these major changes?
I always thought a free running system would work well with Halo, where you can dodge things and vault over objects with ease, maybe even climb small objects, but not large ones (no scaling up a base in Valhalla) or doing a Gears of War style barrel roll. We kinda had this in Reach with evade, but it was not used much in MM. So, flood, what would you have done?
