Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I've never met a man in real life that hates sports. Maybe its just my area. idk.
I live in the Dallas area where football is an utter religion.
My indifference (not hate, I just am not fanatical) is puzzling to nearly anyone and everyone I meet. I am still a man.
For example, I can easily watch the game, but I don't know any team's lineup, stats, history, or record. I can enjoy and appreciate a good play (offensive/defensive) regardless of who makes the play. I admire and respect the abilities and accomplishments of the athletes, especially when they excel against similarly skilled and gifted opponents.
But I don't care about the score, who wins/loses, I just enjoy seeing a well played game with some drama and moments of excellence. And the game being played? I can watch (on television or in the stands) pretty much any team sport (football, hockey, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, rugby, etc.) and my involvement/enjoyment is about the same. If someone does well, I cheer and hoot. If the game is dull and uneventful, I enjoy my beer and wings.
Not a man? Meh. If being a fan/fanatic about a sport is an absolute requirement? Then people can think whatever they want about me. I'm not concerned about the opinions of folks who would rely on such a superficial litmus test.
