Oh boy, I just opened to door for the Halo 4 hate wagon. I personally enjoyed it to high ends! Despite it missing lots of features that made the franchise amazing... But enough about that, what game this year was the most disappointing to you?

Not necessarily meaning that the game is bad in any way. It can still be great, but disappointing. What game falls into that area?

Since there was not enough room. I gave you the OTHER option.

Came in here ready to vote for Halo 4, smart move putting WarZ directly beneath it.

  • 12.31.2012 1:57 PM PDT

Dude What.

Anyone who votes for anything besides War Z is a horrible person.

  • 12.31.2012 1:57 PM PDT

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

To me personally, Halo 4.

Meteor Doggy, Internet Scallywag.

If you're going to have The War Z in your poll, you may as well not have a poll.

I'm probably going to get so much -blam!- for this, but...

Far Cry 3. Don't get me wrong, the single player is phenomenal, but the fact that they didn't include vehicles in the map editor for multiplayer restricts what you can make by about 60%.

I wasn't really disappointed by any.

I'm not a PC gamer but I don't know how people were disappointed by The War Z, people were trashing it months before it came out.

  • 12.31.2012 1:59 PM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

AssCreed 3. It had some of the best trailers I've ever seen for the game and seemed like it was going to be so, so good.

Second place to Hitman Absolution.

What I mean by it does not have to be a bad game for it to be disappointing.

Not necessarily since if you vote for War Z you were expecting it to be good or decent. I on the other hand expected it to be -blam!- and it was.

OT: Give me a few to think about it because honestly I don't think I was really disappointed this year. The games I expected to be bad were and the games I expected to be good were.

ME3.

It's not the worst game on that list, but by far the biggest disappointment.

My signature is rather loopy and elegant... I don't see a way to replicate this in text form. Do italics work? Yes, they do

Mass Effect 3.

Never played WarZ so I don't know what the fuss is about.

Take me into your heart! Accept me as your savior! Nail me to the -blam!- cross, and let me be reborn!

Halo 4 for me. It's mostly due to my own fault though. I hyped that game up to unmeasurable heights, so when I actually played it, I was disappointed.

Diablo 3 too.

The main issue with War Z was the price and the devs pretty much lying about their product. Also it was a terrible DayZ copycat to say the least.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Mass Effect 3. I love the game but that ending was probably the most disappointing thing I have ever saw in gaming. Okay maybe a hyperbole but still, it totally ruins the choice mechanics they had in every game, making them null. They didn't even try to make the illusion that your choices did matter from past games in the ending. Everything up before it did make that illusion but why not the ending? Was there only one guy working on it because it does show compared to the rest of the journey that the ending did not have the amount of quality that the team had before it.

Honestly, something must have happened during the last 5% of the game that they decided to poop on the writing and the mechanic.

AssCreed 3.

Agreed!

  • 12.31.2012 2:10 PM PDT

By the gods what are you doing here, well don't just stand there man make the tea! Make yourself useful and look at my Fileshare.

I'd vote WarZ but I never expected anything of it in the first place nor had any interest in it.
