I would probably stop playing Halo 4. I get so sick and tired of developers who cave into idiots who cry about everything. Just because you play a damn game, doesn't mean you know the what the -blam!- you're talking about. You're not a game developer so SHUT UP!
"WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! It killed me so it's over powered! WAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
It kills faster than the other starting weapons and has sniper accuracy, how so you not see this?
Funny as this was the same issue with the BR in Halo's 2 and 3, and yet people used to maintain that BR starts was the most balanced way to play the game.Halo 2 and 3 were arena shooters. Halo 4 is a class based shooter.
Where everyone has the ability to start with the DMR do they not? The difference you mentioned means little in the context of my arguement, that people seemed to have no issue with the terribly balanced BR in those titles, but now have the similar issue with the DMR.. It makes no sense. There's really no such thing as "Weapon balance" in an arena shooter, because you have to take into context where those weapons were placed on the map. I will admit the assault rifle was massively underpowered, but most weapons you picked up off the map were actually useful against the BR.
Also the DMR does more than destroy weapon balance; It destroys map movement. It's basically like spawning with a sniper rifle.
