BTW, the same actor who played the 7th Doctor plays the Brown Wizard in The HobbitOh joy...I don't know why, but it was the bird crap in his hair and on his face that made me recognize him. Not that the Doctor ever had avian poo on his. Odd really.

I am not. I have my collection ripped to Media Center. Some of the original serials are VERY hard to find, some are even truly lost (a real pity). Most of the 2nd Doctor's work (Patrick Troughton) are forever lost.
There are examples of the original serials on Netflix, but they are only a sample and are mostly focused on the Tom Baker (4th Doctor) years. They are a good place to sample the older series, and the 4th Doctor is a favorite of many older fans, but he is only 1 of 11 (so far).
