@spaboolly

Just remember... war isn't about dying for your country. It's about making the other son of a -blam!- die for his.

If a man is not willing to die for something then he is unfit to live.

I joined years ago. I enjoyed only 70% of it. Hahahaha. My experiences in the U.S. Army are more about how I hated the randomness of my MRE and the lack of real command. It's like any other job except people want you dead.

It's not my fault, I was just trying to tie my shoe!

What do you mean by lack of real command? You'd think there'd be plenty of leadership in the U.S. army.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

That's OK, they will defend your right to say that regardless.

No, please don't go redneck on this.

To join the military is to have the privilage and the pride to protect those who cannot protect themselves. You protect women who otherwise wouldn't have any say, you protect children who would have to either work or be made soldiers themselves, you protect the old or disabled who are forgotten and thrown away for 'not being of any use.'

Don't you dare agree with MscadetUNIVERSE, the world doesn't need people like that. And they give their country a bad name.

I want to join the Royal Navy or the British Army after college.

+1 for comeback.

+2 for telling the truth.

I watched a documentary on the US army (just the grunts though, not the Green Berets or SEALS, and here are the quotes I remember.

"I'm here to kill ragheads."

"I love 'Merica, so I cam to Iraq to let them know!"

"My granddad was in the army, so I thought I'd try it out."

"I think freedom should be universal."

Literally one brain out of the seven people they interviewed. Poor guy.
