Human society has always consisted of a class-based hierarchy. This is a fact.
Even in a reality in which 'right' and 'wrong' are false concepts, inferiority and superiority aren't.
Inferiority and superiority are just as subjective as right and wrong, and they have changed just as often.
So when I hear the world "equality", I get the feeling that those of the 'lower castes', so to speak, are attempting to usurp the oligarchs of their (rightful) place either by replacement or misplacement, in this case, making everyone inferior. For superiority occupies one throne and shares it with no one.
But then how did the so called "higher" castes get to where they are? And I thought "right" and "wrong" were false concepts? Why did you use the word "rightful", then? And why would one party usurping another make everyone inferior, and not just the usurped party?
Inferiority, however, will gladly coexist with itself.
Why would it be any different than superiority?
At the risk of being labeled an elitist despite living in meager conditions,
You can be an elitist no matter what your conditions are.
I must state this: disadvantaged minorities (or sometimes, majorities) are always the only ones to ask for equality. Women, African descendants, -blam!-Iy disoriented individuals, and the economically unwell are and have been in a constant struggle to change the system in which they reside instead of becoming the major gear,
Of course they do, why would people who are supported by a system want to change that system?
and while it is admirable, it is also detrimental. What it has caused is an abherrant mixture of the defining characteristics of each of the classes, yet still mantaining a hierarchical structurre.
Can we get some examples, please? And explain exactly how the mixture is detrimental.
Discuss. I shall go to sleep now.
Yeah, you clearly aren't thinking so straight right now.
1.- He who can provide most for himself or his famly is superior. Biologically.
2.- I utilize the word 'rightful' because it's what you're accustomed to. By making the usurped party inferior, you've dragged it to your level. Now the hill awaits a new king.
3.- You misunderstood. Instead of conforming to the paradigm, they attempt to manipulate it to a point in which it benefits them.
4.- By mixing the oppressed with the oppressors, you mix the defining characteristics (that is, the reason they were oppressed in the first place) of the lower caste with those of the higher levels. For example, feminine, overly submissive men.
Another example would be the ascension of african descendants. By allowing them to enter the society from which they were shunned, they brought with them their criminally-perceived manners.
