Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

A study by Marina Krcmar and Kenneth Lachlan (2009) shows that all increased aggression by gamers who play violent video games dissipates to near normal levels after approximately 15 minutes.

A study by Wolgang Bosche (2010) shows that while increased negative behavior is increased while playing some video games, the positive behaviors are increased by an even greater amount.

...for those that are actually interested.

Wow, it's almost like people calm down after doing aggressive things in a video game!

(no really thanks for this I was getting tired of a thread full of fear-mongering OMG VIDEO GAMES HAVE A LASTING NEGATIVE EFFECT)
So was I. That's why I decided to write a small paper on it for college.

The info has deinitely come into handy.

Do not invite me to your private group. I will not join.

Does video games effect mental health?

Yes, there is no question.

But is it detrimental?

9 times out of 10 it won't be. Worse case scenario is someone who is mentally unstable could be influenced to do something horrible. However anything from modern day media to that persons pier group could have caused that.

"These findings indicate that violent video game play has a long-term effect on brain functioning," Wang concluded. After one week of playing violent video games, the first group showed lower activity in their left inferior frontal lobes associated with empathy when involved in the emotional task. The fMRI also detected less activity in the game-players' anterior cingulate cortexes associated with conflict monitoring, error detection, and emotional control during the cognitive task.

Mm, yes it does, but it doesn't lead them to being more aggressive, it just slows blood-flow in certain regions of the brain.

Stopped reading after this. This guy is a joke, don't take his evidence seriously. It isn't even a legit case study at all. It proves nothing that video games affecting us.
