Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Everytime my pickaxe breaks in Minecraft.

After the update that made that sound, I always jumped out of my seat every time I broke one.

For me its the "What are you running from?" from Nintendo Camera.

The entire Vorkuta mission in CoD Black Ops.

Hell, that entire game was somewhat scary to me. The story, at least.

True story. I was prepared for zombies to start popping out in the campaign because it was just so dark and eery.

I was thinking that people who were killed by the Nova gas would come back as zombies.

Even the main menu was creepy as hell.

The level Cortana on Halo 3. At the time I could barely see where I was going, and something would always pop around the corner when I'm not expecting it.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Dat Piano coming alive in Super Mario 64...in Boo's haunted house. I hated that thing.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

2. Mass Effect 3
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Tie between Halo 3 and CoD4
5. Medal of Honor or Spec Ops: The Line

My god this. I avoided that room whenever I played the game.

And on that note, this might be the scariest thing in a non-scary game.

I like Halo reach and i dislike Halo 3. Problem?

Whenever i had to run from SA-X in Metroid fusion, i nearly had a heart attack each time i saw it.

-Thirsty Grunt. He killed all those combat forms with a plasma pistol...
-CE Zealots. They're beastly!
-CE Carrier Forms. Back when they were actually a threat.
-H2 Heretic Grunts. With Catch on, they are extremely dangerous.
-H3 marines. I collected 29 of them on The Covenant, gave half of them fuel rod guns (time-traveled to get the ones from the Scarabs), then betrayed them. Chaos ensued.
-H3 pissed off army of Hornets. It's like being shot by a dozen spartan lasers!

-343 Guilty Spark (CE level). It's just perfect!
-The Oracle (H2 level). Flood can climb up walls. It was especially nightmarish facing them on Legendary with Assassins and Thunderstorm on.
-any Halo 4 level. Level design is so atrocious, I fear for Halo

All of Quake 1. You're just going about your business tense and all and then BAM! monsters just teleport all around you and you jump in your sit, and go "oh god that gave me a fright"...

Modern Warfare 2. When you are fighting Captain Shepherd and the screen goes black and you get a knife in your chest which you rip out and throw in his eyeball and the Airport Massacre was scary because of the amount of innocent bloodshed...

Modern Warfare 3; dropped a building on your tank. You're like oh, shiiiii...... And then boom, it's landed on you're tank...

Modern Warfare 1: Nuke. You crawl out of the helicopter and die. Was not expecting that...

Duke Nukem Forever. Wasn't expecting those things to pop out. That gave me a fright.

Duke Nukem 3D. It's dark, cannot see what's going and you're underwater. Suddenly Octobrains everywhere. Damn...

Doom 1 and 2. Again Demons appearing when you least expect it.

I belive Dead Space 1 and 2 though I've not played those and Red Dead Redemption.

GTA 4 glitches.

I think that's everything I've heard of. Oh Tomb Raider has some surprises...

Wolfenstein 3D. Wasn't expecting an SS guard just round the corner to yell at me and Wolfenstein with the stealth assassin that turn invisible and slices at you whilst laughing. That was terrifying. Also when you shot someone in the neck or face. Wasn't expecting that much blood and violence...
