My friend needs help finding a cheap laptop!

I don't know how doable this is, but he wants one that can run Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, and League of Legends.

His budget is $300.

He'd also prefer to be able to drive to a store and get it from a place like Best Buy and not have to order it online.

I'm looking at Best Buy right now to find one with the minimum requirements of:
CPU: 2.0 GHz or higher
RAM: 2 GB
GPU: Shader version 2.0 capable video card w/ DirectX v9.0c support or higher
OS: Windows 7

Challenge me to a Hawaiian Punch chugging contest. I dare you.

$.50 in store credit.

Tell him to save up. A computer worth $300 is probably going to crap out on you very quickly and leave you needing a new one soon.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Being able to run TF2 with a $300 laptop?

Good luck.

I know. He wanted to be able to run Amnesia: The Dark Descent too but I told him that's practically impossible.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

Sort by price, low to high.

The inventory is constantly changing, depending on what devices get returned to the factory. They are refurbs, scratch-and-dents, returns, leased, etc. but come with a full factory warranty and if you can time it right (once a single item is bought, it's gone), you can save a bundle.

But $300 is a low price for a Windows laptop. He might be better off with a Chromebook, for the money. But it will greatly limit the programs he can install or run.

He can run those games with a minimum of an Intel HD 3000 GPU. But I can't be sure if the experience is what he expects.

Surely for any forms of gaming, playing all those games with a $300 laptop seems to be asking too much.

Do not invite me to your private group. I will not join.

I know next to nothing about laptops. However from what I can tell, you don't got much of a chance with a $300 budget.

Hell I just purchased my first laptop a day ago. My very tech savvy and helpful friend help make decide on purchasing this.

Can't wait to get it.

Quote from Confucius

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.
