The thing is... Alright, the thing is I killed you once already... and it's not like I am -blam!- crazy.

I've heard good things and bad. Just wondering what the Flood thinks about it, and if there are any QA testers here that know anything about it. I'm talking about Game QA. Also, maybe not a career choice, but something to get started with?

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

Quality Assurance?

So, you want to be a games tester?

Yeah, pretty much. I want to get into the games industry, but I don't know what I want to get into yet (what specific field).

The soldiers, the lovers, the cowards, the brave
We're all on this world, we got what we gave

This is slightly relevant.

Game testing is a -blam!- of a job. You probably won't make it big.

Yeah, that's what I heard. It's low pay, tedious amounts of work and barely and recognition from peers. It always intrigued me though.

Does anyone know anything about being a video game reviewer? I've been thinking about getting into that. I don't know what courses I should take though. Journalism?

A lot of people say it sucks to fun out of games but I have no personal experience.

"Hello. My name is Stephen Hawking. Physicist, cosmologist, and something of a dreamer. Although I cannot move, and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind, I am free. Free to explore the universe, and ask the big questions."

If you're looking for any advice about the games industry in general, check out the group called "Extra Creditz." They're on YouTube and, I believe, the Escapist.
This is vaguely relevant, but this one focuses more on developers than QA.

Just going to bump/quote myself here. Game reviewing is something I've always had my eye on; hell, I've been writing reviews of Facebook for a while now.
