Burrito, you never cease to amaze me, you read my mind.
Great minds think alike.

Well Bilbo held on to the Ring without giving into it's temptation for 61 years. Frodo held onto it for less than a decade before he gave in.
My roommate is a huge LOTR nerd. I asked about this and he said it
was because there was far less evil in the world when Bilbo found the ring. That is why he could endure so much longer.

Mind you, my rebuttal was that Frodo was still a whiny -blam!- to which he
had no response to give but agreement.

Frodo also had many stupid moments, why would you side with gollum over Sam, even if Sam did eat the lembas.
Gollum is the best character!

Frodo was a -blam!- the entire movie, though less so in the books a little. 'Waah I'm hungry.' 'Wah carrying this ring is soooo hard.' 'Waaaah I have so many burdens.' 'Waaaah help me!'

Please. Sam could have soloed the whole movie. Every time Frodo -blam!- up Sam saved his ass. Sam is a hero. Frodo is a whiny -blam!-.

Hence why Bilbo wins.

Damn right, Sam is easily one of the most competent characters in the whole series.

That doesn't happen in the book. Frodo is with Sam the entire time. Gollum attacks Sam in Shelob's lair and Frodo runs on while Sam beats up Gollum. When Sam tries to catch up with Frodo, this is when Shelob stings Frodo.
well thank god that the cannon GFrodo isn't such an idot. Its been so long since I read the books, that I litterally cannot rember a sentence from the book.

Yeah, it's hard to remember. And then you go and watch the movies and you don't remember what happened in the books.

Online Gaming's pretty much like a zombie movie. There are a lot of mindless idiots roaming around but you find some survivors on the way.

Bilbo is a more likeable character.

I understand Frodo was tainted by the ring, but he's just a really boring, whiny selfish character. He gets treated like the hero, when really it was Sam who possessed the heroic qualities all along.
