Good, Better, Best. Chuck Norris

I haven't joined any side yet but I think I'm going to join the Empire.

Neither. I did the truce with the Graybeards and everybody else. I'm waiting to see how this will play out with the next DLC which is going to go into the Thalmor and a possible new great war with them. Bethesda has mentioned that they are going to have two small DLC's then the biggest one yet which is going to be the Thalmor one.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Empire.

Stormcloaks. I should have tried to get the truce between Stormcloaks and Empire but I was in too far before I realised I could have done it.

They're both actually grey ares, but I feel the Empire is more beneficial to Skyrim on a grand scale.

Along with the Empire brings trading opportunities that would otherwise be missed, like the East Empire Trading Company. This can mean anything, including weapons to food (which Skyrim might need due to it's inhospitable farming environment). The Empire clearly has a broader connection throughout Tamriel than the Stormcloaks. Not accepting other races may be overly detrimental to the Stormcloaks.

Not to mention the Empire would undoubtedly be a larger force for the Thalmor to face, that is, if the Nords would cooperate. Also, everyone knows of the Thalmor's ploy to use Ulfric as a tool to weaken the Empire.

Stormcloaks. They may be racist as hell, and let by an entitled whiny ass, but they didn't try and execute me for no reason.

Honestly, I didn't want to pick a side, and only did because of the achievements.

The Empire didn't try and execute you, an individual commanding officer did. You can clearly see how the soldiers are uncomfortable with the order, too, as it violates protocol.

Empire. The Stormcloaks wouldn't stand a chance against the Thalmor, and the Nords are the reason the Snow Elves had to go to the Dwemer, stealing Skyrim from the Snow Elves and defeating the who 'Skyrim belongs to the Nords, fighting the right battle' thing.

I wish there was an option to create your own army and wage war against both because they're just so awful.

Empire, too much racism in the stormcloaks, for my tastes.

nothing starts with n.

stormcloaks happen to be racist against kahjit and argonians, which I play as. both sides are wrong but I prefer the empire.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

I chose the Stormcloaks at first, but their accent began to annoy me so I swapped to the Empire who, after a while, seemed rude and selfless, so I returned to the Stormcloaks.

  • 01.02.2013 3:32 AM PDT

Stormcloaks times x100000. Never choose the Empire. It just seems odd and wrong for the time.

I think a lot of people misunderstand the idea of Stormcloaks as well. Like calling them a Thalmor plot and crap.

  • 01.02.2013 3:51 AM PDT

Do I really need a signature?

I played through the game twice. I voted Stormcloaks though because I picked them through my first playthrough and the Empire my second.

You can call a truce?

You can call a truce?

A temporary one, for the dragon issue.

  • 01.02.2013 3:55 AM PDT

Neither. Should be an option.

  • 01.02.2013 4:43 AM PDT

One does not simply trolololol into Mordor.

Initially I thought Stormcloaks was the best option but when I read up about Skyrim some more I decided it doesn't really matter, either way the Thalmor win.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Stormcloaks for my first run.

Then I slaughtered both on my second playthrough.

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

Complete Empire with no rebellions = Less Thalmor intervention and a stronger Empire to theoretically revolt against the Dominion.

Also, the Stormcloaks are racist dicks.
