Is it just me, or is it more difficult to utilize than Halo 4's Forge? Placing and aligning objects is just such a -blam!- for me, but in Forge, it's just easy. Can someone give me some tips or does anyone else agree?

Allons-y!

It's a Map Editor, not an object placer like Forge is.

no its legit, i used coordinates, set weapon timers the works.

It is more difficult because it's an actual map editor. Forge is just a virtual Lego set.

At first it's a little hard, but after a while it gets easier.

Takes some time to figure out but once you figure it out the things that can be made are pretty incredible.

Yeah, I realized that.

I find the one on PC is a little complex but that's because you get a ton of options and features to choose from.

Yeah, I think on consoles it's capped at 20 or 25 A.I.
PC can have over 100 I believe.

I've noticed that the only way to build a cave is to use the hole option on terrain and then place cave rocks/tunnels, but from what I've tried, it's a -blam!- to do. Any easier way to do it? Or any easier way to actually MOVE the object where I want like a coordinate system?

You can't imagine my disappointment with the Xbox map-editor... after I already overcame my problems with the ridiculously small size and I finished a decent challenge map, I realized that you can only place 20 people/animals. That, in addition to the regular restrictions (no vehicles or weapons on multiplayer maps) made the editor just worthless for me.

Literally all you can do is boring CoD maps...

Does that restriction on A.I. and vehicles apply if you just want to make a map for 2 people in a private game?

Instead of just placing the object use the add and edit function(Edit object 3D),on Xbox its the right bumper.

Also turn off object relativity to terrain because that function ensures objects keep a constant relative height to the terrain no matter where they move.

Finally, the only other way to make a cave is to stack rocks in a fashion that creates one however the surface on top of the cave will be very rough.

Terrain hole is the best way to make a cave but stacking rocks is the easiest.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

This! Ever since Halo 3 I've been hoping for a Halo map EDITOR like the Far Cry series has had on consoles... I'm still waiting.

Halo 2 Vista kinda-sorta does.

OT: I was really used to this sort of edit or and was pleasantly surprised to see it on console. It was almost exactly like the Empire at War map editor I used years ago. It just takes some getting used to, really. You'll soon recognize its superiority.

You can't start a multiplayer match (private match for 2 people) at all if you placed a single vehicle, weapon or AI.

Otherwise, even for simple single-player mess-around, the AI restriction of 20 always applies on consoles.
