Alright boys and girls, calm down, why don't we all try to be civil here?
First of all, I agree with Harlow.
I don't post on this site much these days, not really in groups, and inconsistently on the mains. I come to the community forum to read mailsacks, and wait for DeeJ to tell us -blam!-, or spread the love in the Flood because there just ain't enough love to go around.
It does strike a chord in me though, I consider myself a nice guy, I'm a student, I play sports, videogames, go to parties have friends, opinions, feelings just like every one of you, I'm a human being. Now, I might not be perfect, I don't think anyone is, but that's no reason not to try to be nice.
Sure, I have bad days when I snap at people, but everyone can have the occasional bad day. What isn't right, is when people act like that, on steroids, in every post they make.
There's nothing wrong with having opinions, and I certainly don't have a problem with defending them, but there is a way to do that, and no, it isn't 'MAN YOU'RE A -blam!- I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG' (that said, I must admit to stooping that low in a firearm debate recently - and those who were involved, I'M SORRY OK).
The thing is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm concerned, and I'm pretty good on my social norms - being a jerk, and not utilising basic manners are both bad things, and the lack of them on this site is a pretty big old problem.
I've reported maybe 80% of posts in this thread for overstepping the line between arguing an opinion and personal attacks. I'm aware some of you are alts, I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. But I just wanted to get it off my chest how widespread the said problem is.
This thread has highlighted the problem, and it is a problem.
So long and goodnight.
