This. If you are willing to steal anything from me you aren't a true friend

What if it was from your older richer brothers room?

I am the oldest of my 2 brothers. If I found out about them taking small amounts of money I would confront them and tell them to just ask in the future. As for someone else doing it, that would be unacceptable.

No your friends stole from your sibling not you.

  • 01.01.2013 11:02 PM PDT

I would be mad about any amount of money stolen, but I would not condemn him.

If he is my friend then I also care about him, and would want him to learn not to do such things.

I would pay my sibling the missing money, and remind my friend that he does not need to steal.

Any ammount of money stolen from me would result in us no longer being friends. Friends don't steal from friends.

What if it was from your older richer brother?

I'd be driving the get away van.

If you consent to it then you are stealing from family, but in this case it was behind your back.

What if I told you....he wasn't...my brother.

Unacceptable.

If they stole anything I'd stop being their friend but if its change I probably wouldn't notice but I'm very paranoid about someone robbing all my stuff cause I have a lot of pricey items.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

If they steal from me, they are no longer my friend. If they need money, I will probably give it to them, all they have to do is ask.

Sounds like it'd be awfully close to my experience.

Ok so my friends were big -blam!-s in HS, the thing is weed in NYC isn't cheap so they constantly needed more money to keep smoking weed. These are people I know for 7 years btw and we used to play xbox a lot before we started smoking. Anways I decided that school is more important than smoking weed and I started to take a different path in life than them and we started chilling less and less, but just because I valued school work more and they valued it less doesn't mean we totally cut off our friend ship, we would still from time to time hangout. Anyways my family is a bit more wealthier than theirs so my apartment was considered more enjoyable to chill at, and then we did smoke we would chill at my house. The infrequency of me smoking with them led to them considering me less cool and different than them. So sometime a year or two ago they found it cool to steal money lying around my house or from my brothers stash of money hidden in his drawer. This happened from time to time without me noticing, in the meanwhile they started going to raves and doing harder drugs, they became huge coke fiends. Coke is even more expensive than weed so they needed even more money, their source of income?, their family members wallets and of course me. They started stealing even larger amounts of money from me and I started getting more suspicious, until one day I found inconclusive proof of theft. In distraught I told my brother where his money had gone , (yes I know I am a snitch but I felt extremely betrayed ) and he decided to call the police and show them the evidence, they both got arrested and will be tried in court in a few months.

Man that does suck. Weed isn't a drug, just saying but yeah, coke heads tend to be a pain on the money. Either way it's messed up but atleast you did the right thing.

If my friend steals anything, then I have lost trust for that person. However, I would forgive. And if he did it again, I wouldn't trust him and probably wouldn't be friends with the person.

But I probably wouldn't really care unless it was at least $5 or more.

Everyone does deserve a second chance.

Thanks I am relieved hearing this, some people said I was a snitch, but I didn't know what else to do, I felt since these were my boys I couldn't beat them up and calling the police just seemed logical at the time..

Oh, about that last thing. No. That probably would've pissed me off to the point that I would've kicked their asses. I'd bring a bat too just in case of a two-on-one.

Any amount of stealing from me or my family would be enough. That being said, I'd gladly give one of my friends a bit of cash without any expectation of it being returned if they asked for it.

deej pls

Depends if I planned on spending it.

I know some of my friends will steal a dollar here and there, but I don't care.

I mean, if it was a lot, I would be mad, but it's change I will do nothing about it.

If they stole from my family I would no longer talk to them.

how much money in question here? if its any less than 50-100 i think the police is a little overboard, but i get the feeling it was alot.

More to the original question if my friends stole any paper money from me i would probably cut off contact with them as was reasonable. I normally give my friends money if they ask since I have a job and not much to spend it on but if they don't feel the need to ask first then I don't feel the need to be around them.
