I actually agree. You have people who aren't taking you seriously, but in reality, Justin is a dynasty. He is one of, if not the hottest person in the music industry right now. And frankly, he does actually own the pop genre.Same could be said about the Backstreet Boys in the late 90's, early 2000's.
Pop stars come and go like seasons.
That kinds of supports my point. The Backstreet Boys were indeed the kings of their genre at the time. And let's be honest, they were that way for a very long time. Justin Bieber has been on top since his first album, which was in 2008. For the sake of argument, let's just say he was on top since 09. That's a pretty good three year run of constantly being in the spotlight. So he'll fizzle out just like all of his pop leaders before him, and a new pop sensation will arise.
To call him the "King of Pop" is just wrong. It would be more accurate to call him the "current chart-topper of pop music."
He'll be gone in a bit.
If you say so. I do. That's how pop music works.
I mean, Nsync and the Backstreet boys were the kings of boybands.Exactly. They managed to stay relevant for a few years, then people stopped caring. Over a decade later, nobody cares about N'Sync or Backstreet Boys anymore, save for a few nostalgia-laced fangirl niches.
