And it sucked, lol. I always loved Reach and never jumped on the whole bandwagon of hate but after playing Halo 4 I decided to pop in Reach and surprisingly I didn't have much fun. First thing I noticed was that the servers went to -blam!- or something, I have never lagged in Reach so badly I'm going as far to say even Halo 4 has less lag atm. Another thing I noticed was most of the guns look and sound funny, almost comical to me. Even you hate Halo 4 you gotta admit the guns sound and look great for the most part.

And then I realized the maps were kinda meh. When I went back to Halo 3 I never thought any of these things (well the lag I did) I thought the maps held up fairly well, maybe reach was as bad as people were saying? It still has a rocking campaign, amazing forge, and great playlist options imo. If any of you that like Halo 4 has gone back to Reach/3 tell me you thoughts/feelings.

Yeah I noticed that as soon as 343 took over I lagged basically all the time. Same with halo 4.

Get the hell off my planet!

Whenever the newest installment of a Halo game comes out, it's kind of customary that the previous title is abandoned. It's sad, really.

It's P2P. Less people playing, higher chance of lag.

Is this like where people blame Obama for everything, except with 343i?

Spilt my chips on the ground... My god, 343i! Get your -blam!- together

I jokingly told my friend that "343i sabotaged the Reach servers to make Halo 4 look better."

RIP Logan ~B.B.

You realize no Halo is played on servers, right? They are all peer hosted, lag is coincidental.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

Connection: That's 343's responsibility. If you didn't think they sucked before, then that's possibly an issue deriving from the company, not the game.

Gun looks and sounds: if you did this for Halo 3 or Halo 2, you'd say the same thing. Halo 2 was a great game an all, but in comparison the weapons looks like plastic toys.

Maps: Not sure how to add more insight to "meh." Perhaps they are "meh." Perhaps not.

Aha you're so funny. Nope this is actually happening to me believe it or not but feel free to expand your ego.

~:O>~~

I actually kind of missed the feeling... I sold off my XBOX with my hard-rive so I couldn't no longer play Reach when I finally got around to playing games again (after Halo 4 two weeks after it came out), but I did however rent it shortly after and I have to say it's way more competitive then Halo 4. At least in that game your choices and skill has an impact in the overall flow of the game, whereas in Halo 4 it's whatever power weapon you can get your hands on half the time.

I like the art that supported the game, and what they did to tweak the mechanics from Halo 3... the end result is that they came out with almost an entirely different game from their predecessor but it came at a cost to some of the hardcore community... while me being completely content with the game found enjoyment and many days spent solely playing Reach.

I thought the guns sounded better in Reach, and that it encourages playing better as opposed to quicker... and overall the game was a pure Halo experience. Also the classes were more important especially in small team games (4vs4) because depending on what the other team was using along with yours... you had to decide which AA would be the most beneficial depending on what you'll be doing along with how. It had more tact and required forethought... in fac it is the game that brought me to this site almost 2 1/3 years ago.

Halo Reach = Halo 4 (based on different criteria and aspects)

I'm sorry, I lack knowledge in that area. But if low population means it has a higher chance of lagging how come I never lagged when I played Squad DLC? That playlist always had a low pop. I played team Slayer when I went back and that still had a pretty healthy pop but lagged horribly. They really need to ditch the P2P system. imo

The problem with low population is that when creating a game the players will tend to be farther apart from each other. This increases the ping, which usually results in some lag.

I went back and played Reach for a bit about a week ago.

It felt fine, aside from the fact that too many people still choose Armor Lock.
